I've played the first Borderlands this September when it was free on PS Plus, and I enjoyed it. Most people who were playing online at the time were at much higher levels than me, so I mostly played alone and it was still fun to me. I've heard a lot of people say it's only fun when you're playing co-op but I didn't mind too much. Getting new loot was addicting, and the guns were pretty fun to use. The story was pretty uninspired but I heard Borderlands 2 fixes this and adds more loot. Another complaint I had about Borderlands 1 was that there were too little enemy types, especially in the beginning (fighting skags got tedious very quickly). Does the second game have a lot more variety in terms of enemies?

As for Far Cry 3, I've never played a previous Far Cry game. I've watched some videos and I'm on the fence. On one hand, the weapons and shooting look pretty generic. There's nothing that looks new or stands out to me. Despite this, I've still heard good things about the gameplay. On the other hand, the story and characters seem pretty cool and the world looks pretty expansive. I know the Borderlands games are also open-world but are split up into different zones. Both games got good reviews, so could you guys help me decide which one to get?

I like large open worlds with stuff to do outside of the main quest, and I'm an RPG fan so I like customization. I also believe in fun over realism. Hopefully this is enough to help you guys help me. Thanks.

The Last of Us

Beyond: Two Souls

Grand Theft Auto 5

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Watch Dogs

Bioshock: Infinite (kudos to Irrational Games for excluding multiplayer because they didn't like the way it was turning out)

Fallout 4? It's possible, late next year.

And I will renew my PS Plus subscription to try out the God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta next January. If it's good, I'll add it to my most anticipated list.

I got the Walking Dead episodes 1 and 2 with PS Plus, and my subscription is expiring soon, meaning I won't have access to those 2 episodes anymore. However, I really enjoyed them so now I want to get the next 3 episodes, but my subscription will expire before the 5th one comes out.

Will I still be able to play episodes 3-5 if I don't have the first 2?

I think it is better to avoid fighting, but it is definitely justifiable in certain cases. Those who vow to never fight are just lying to themselves. Sometimes, you will have to protect yourself or others.

A $20 PSN card to try out 3 months of PS Plus, and wow, is it worth the money! :D I've wanted Infamous 2 and LBP2 for a while now, and even yesterday, we got Outland, which is a great game. I'm thinking of getting a $50 card now to get a 1 year subscription, but I know that the 12 free games thing was a summer marketing ploy by Sony, so I'm a bit wary.

I don't know. There's just something nice about buying things new. Of course, it's also very exiting to get a great deal on something used, especially if it's not all greasy and scratched and whatever...

LOL I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I meant new releases, not brand new products specifically. I guess I worded the title a bit strangely.

It depends if they have a valid point or not. If you disagree, I'd like to know why.

[QUOTE="UnchartedZone"]

[QUOTE="BranKetra"] The reasons teenagers want new stuff are probably the same as everyone else's. Integrating new technology into society is not a modern trend. People have been doing it for a long time. The difference between now and hundreds of years ago is the internet. With that, information in general spreads faster than it ever has and with that, things such as new media and technology make their way around the world in a fraction of the time it used to. Since that is now possible, the rate of newly released products is increasingly hand in hand with it and what is new right now will be old news in half a day.Toxic-Seahorse

Still, I'm talking about how ridiculing those who either don't like new styles and trends or simply can't afford to keep up is not necessary. And sometimes, old things are not "worse" than new products, like older music, which I mentioned.

The problem is that most of my friends and teens I talk to don't think that way. Stop generalizing.

If that's the case, then you are pretty lucky to be surrounded by such people.

I'm in this age group myself and sometimes, I just don't understand my friends. They make fun of me occasionally for having an older Blackberry phone (without a touch screen) and I know they're not being completely serious, but it just irritates me. I even see some of my friends who have older phones themselves say that their phones suck.

It's not only with phones or other physical objects either. Yesterday, I was listening to some older Eminem songs like Mockingbird and my friend jokingly said "Um, what year are we in again?" WTH? Why does it matter how old a song is? A lot of old music is 10 times better than the crappy pop songs of today anyway.

So why do you think teenagers are so obsessed with having everything new?

Toxic-Seahorse

It seems liek your friend was just making a joke both times and you took it way too seriously. Also, you shouldn't generalize such a large group of people.

I guess what you said about generalizing is true, but like I said, I knew he was sorta joking but it annoys me because he's not the only one who does this. I've seen many different people act this way many times, so I think it's safe to say that the majority of teenagers view the latest items as necessities, which is not true at all.
