@Caldrin It's an okay game, but I can't bring myself to call it "great."
I would've honestly preferred that they take longer and add more content, more choice, make the races feel more relevant, add greater replayability to the campaign, etc.
But none of that exists, hence my original comment: we bought a content creation tool with a 10-hour demo.
Like you, I hope that the community gives us some great content and finishes with this dev started.
In the end, I'm just glad we got a Shadowrun game that wasn't some cheap FPS knock-off.
For a game that made $1.8-million, I have to say I'm sorely disappointed in how short, linear and generally bland it was. It's such a great setting with a fantastic atmosphere and the writing is good and the characters are interesting.
But it's a 10-hour long game with no real choice and impact. For $1.8-million, all that bought supporters was a content creation tool and a demo to go with it.
If Bieber, Rebecca Black and the generally tasteless barrage of "pop" music isn't enough, then at least Apple will always stand as a testament to the sheer desperation of mankind to be seen as "relevant" by their peers through downright stupid consumerism.
