how do we even know this is really legit? I mean, if i lost a game save, in a 20 year time span, i could have simply replayed it 20 more times rather then leave the console running for 20 years without turning it off? Somehow This is a made up story, clickbait. Shame on you GameSpot
for new(er) PS4 and Xbox One games, Amazon is a killer place to either buy them from or use Amazon against a local retailers price to price-match it against. At my local Target, I have price-matched so many games now, saving money has never felt better.. whoo
This doesnt just reflect upon Game in UK, its like this for stores world-wide now. They all are struggling
Many of these games in the list u can get cheap on PC (via Steam etc) I figure if most of the titles are on multi-platform, like me, u have already acquired most of these games on PC anyways.
Many of the games in the list are actually pretty disappointing games to be honest, but each to their own
How will this work? U will have to re-purchase every game again via digital download on XBL? Will my original 360 disc not count towards prior game ownership? It just seems like what Sony is doing as well: able to double-dip from loyal customers who have bought ps2 / 360 games back in the day only to force us all to re-buy it all over again.. ugh

However, I dont feel bad about getting this great deal with the price-match and cartwheel stacked as it was for the simple fact that Target will not honor a price-match from the products manufacturer Microsoft (who did a nationwide $50 off ANY bundle) and then basically lays in waiting that the unsuspecting customer wont know about it and Target continues to sell the bundle at $349. That is just blatant price-gouging.
The fact that I then had to go out of my way to find yet another method to price-match against their $349 (via Amazon) was just the last straw.
I am by no means one of those "difficult" customers but i wanted to stay persistent cos I do not think its right for a store to keep the prices higher then the nationwide price drop for the manufacturer of said product and claim they have a "great price-matching" system while they simply decline matching Microsoft. It just didnt add up.
I went to Target in my area and bought the Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate edition bundle. Target had this for $349
At the Target service desk I informed them that Microsoft had lowered the cost of the Xbox bundles by $50 according to their website.
Was immediately told by a Target manager that Target does not price-match with Microsoft.
I pulled out my iphone and looked up Amazon where they changed all their bundle prices to MATCH that of the microsoft website.
The service desk lady was getting resistant to allow the Amazon price-match AND the 15% Cartwheel deal together. But I showed her that there is NO mention on the cartwheel app, that you cant apply a price-match AND a cartwheel deal as a combo. She verified this with her manager and they came to the same conclusion: The deal is LEGIT
Being persistent helps and having done the home work prior helps too.
All in all Target did honor the price-match the $299 price of Amazon and added the additional 15% off by using targets Cartwheel app for this deal, then added another 5% off by using the Target Red card bringing my total down to $241.93 out the door.
