Let me start by saying Tom does not know squat about what he is saying! I saw the review the day the game came out (I had it reserved on the Playstation Plus at a discounted price) and I still till this day after playing it totally disagree with the review. I could go into a long debate about what this guys issue is with this game (especially since every one still disagrees about the simpsons arcade review) but that is not the main issue.

Ducktales Remastered is exactly what it is......REMASTERED. While the graphics and music have been redone, the overall gameplay is the same as it was back when this game was on the NES. I enjoyed playing it then and I'm getting a kick out of the new version now. I'll admit I also enjoyed watching the show as a kid (heck who didn't) which made it all the more fun to play. Tom said the nostalgia was laid on pretty thick. Question: EXACTLY HOW IS THAT A BAD THING?! The game was based off of a Disney Cartoon from the late 80's to early 90's. Of course their is going to be a lot of nostalgia. Why wouldn't it be? What makes this version even better is the fact that most of the original cast from the show reprise their roles in the game. Seriously! They brought back Alan Young and June Foray for crying out loud!!!! FACT: for those of you wh never knew or just too young to know or care, Alan Young is the original voice of Scrooge McDuck (even in the "Mickey's Christmas Carol" special). He is also the actor who played Wilbur in Mr. ED (the old show with the talking horse). June Foray voice acting veteran who at the age of 90 is still doing here thing. Multiple rolls on "DuckTales" and best known for her work in the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons Ok, back on subject. The voice acting just adds on to the experience of the game and give some explaination to the story. Are people going to be worrying about the story? Maybe, Maybe not. That's what the skip option is for. Plus, that thing that Tom mentioned about having to start all the way over after loosing all of your lives......um.....do I really need to get into how that is normal and practically any game let alone a platformer? I think it's a really nice perk that they added stuff like taking a dip in the money bin and unlocking artwork and music in the gallery. Boring? I'm gonna give that a Big Fat No the game is not boring.

Overall, the game is just as fun as I remember. Despite the fact that I have never beaten the game, I still enjoyed the experience. I found myself still laughing at some of the lines and antics that made the show such a hit. Of course everyone has a right to their own opinion about the game, but I still don't think DuckTales Remastered deserved such a low score. This may be from a fans point of view and yes the nostalgia is laid on thick. That's what makes the game good. You strolling down memory lane as you play this game thinking back to the days of your youth......days where Capcom actually made games to entertain players and the company as a whole did not SUCK!
