The first 3d game I remember was probably Starglider on the CBM Amiga, a wonderful flight game but you were in first person and you did do a lot of shooting. For more traditional FPS it was - like so many - people Doom which I liked but Quake and particularly Quake 2 were *far* better and Unreal Torny was excellent for multiplayer. On Consoles it was probably Halo since I never was in to consoles, the games were (and still are) far too expensive.
