Not sure what kind of women you all are hanging out with, but I'm a femme woman in my 30's, care a lot about my appearance but not conceited by any stretch, but I do dress well/smell good, but grew up quite a little tomboy (lol) went hunting/fishing with my dad & we watched football (NFL- GO Broncos!- I miss Elway, he was the man!), I can gut/skin deer/clean fish by myself, grew up shooting at the range, still own firearms, grew up as a teen weight lifting- strength training, when I'm at the store, in my cart will be: Color Stay Lipstick, a few UFC dvd's, Pantera's Greatest Hits, PC Games (latest purchases Crysis2, Shift2 Unleashed, Amnesia The Dark Descent), highest grade meats, fresh produce, whole wheat pasta, {important to eat well if you want to look/feel good ;) }, some Meguiar's to keep my car shining/protected (Yes, I detail my car inside/out myself), & sometimes some plants- I enjoy planting & have quite the green thumb -Oh, & birdseed too :) . Perhaps people that pass me by think the PC games & sports items are for someone else, I don't know, but they'd be wrong. I take my items to my Meguiar's shiny car, jam to my metal all the way home, bring in my groceries/PCgames/Sports/Plants/Birdseeds to my home that has my 4 PC's & over 400PC games, from gorefest to light, fix some health food, prop my feet up & watch either my UFC dvds or the NFL network ;) I would like to see more female characters/lead in games. (You can check out my owned games list for an idea of what I play). *I put my athletic upbringing/interest to use, after graduation I went to college & my education is in Fitness/Nutrition/Personal Training.

I get tired of these 'social gaming' articles. I don't know why they post them, if you're on gamespot then you're clearly interested in more than 'social gaming'. I hate social- lol, I don't even play mp. Gaming is my alone time, I'm not exactly a people person, so I don't play a game to go online and find more of them (people). (No offense to those who like mp, it's just not my thing).

I never worry about running anything (on ultra), it's just a matter if I want the game or not. Wasn't always that way, but it's how I'm living now. Long live PC gaming.

Civ V

Getting into this game is pricey, and not 'necessary'. It's just if you like keeping up with the latest and greatest, but in this economy, no one is left untouched and it's not exactly easy. In better times, I definately like keeping things more current in my high end rig. Some people set up their gaming PC's more for 'value', & I know why & they have a point, but in getting the card that just barely covers your spec. needs, you're more likely to need one sooner. It makes more sense to get something with more breathing room so you're not buying one sooner than you needed. Granted, with consoles still stuck back in time (sorely in need for updating), it's holding PC's back too, and PC gaming specs haven't ran wild. I'm using 2x nVidia GTX 280's (SLI) and nVidia nForce 790i Ultra SLI (mobo -up to quad SLI capable). They're years old but nothing makes my rig even break a sweat. An upgrade would be nice (if the economy were better) but it's clearly not needed. When DX11 becomes more prevalent, I'll upgrade to cards/mobo that run it. (Right now I am about to get my audio upgraded, just the speakers/subwoofer, to the Razer Mako 300Watt system).

Old School.

Blast from my past. When I was very young, my dad knew a guy that was in the military and he had to leave for -I can't remember how long, but he gave us his Atari. Me and my brother would sit on the floor in front of the T.V. and I only remember this one game and I WISH I REMEMBERED THE NAME!! lol. Crap, maybe someone here can tell me (talking to you other people 30's+ lol), uh, kind of hard to describe, I didn't see it in this video, these 'lasers' I guess would be fired from the ground and I can't remember if it's when you're hit or you hit something, the back of the screen will flash, and oddly enough I still remember the sound it made when it did that. I loved playing that game, whatever it was. After that though, it's been nothing but PC, that's where my fondest memories lie.
