Germany is the best team in the tournament by far. They are playing as a whole, one unit. They don't have real weaknesses and a lot plus sides.
However, even though Spain is not producing a lot offensively in this tournament ( torres is in very bad shape ), their midfield play brought them to semis. I think it will be a close game between Spain and Germany. If spain takes the lead, it's too hard, almost impossible for germany to come back because when Spain takes the lead, they start making short passes and quickly that demoralizes other team and makes them tired. Muller won't be playing for Germany, it will be a big minus, he was on top his form. Most probably Trochowski will play on that side but Trochowski is more like a midfielder than a attacking winger like Muller who constantly runs into penalty box from deep and has ability to score goals. Trochowski has good long range shot but he doesn't run from deep to penalty box for opportunities, that's not his style of play.
For me,
If Spain start with Villa as lone striker other than Torres and field Fabregas , Spain has more chance to win this game. ( Or Llorente as striker, Villa as left forward like in the other games )
If not, If Spain conceedes the first goal, adios Spain
If not, When the game is held to draw , Germany has more chance --- Better condition, better counter attacking team. ( Spain likes to play around more with the ball, looking for set-plays other than directly going to goal )
So... Bottom line is ; any team who scores the first goal will most probably go through.
Germany is playing better than Spain as a team but lack of Muller and Spain's dominant midfield will cause them problems.
Also Spain has more quality players than Germany if you look at them individually, and Villa is the best player of the tournament so far..
