Businesses already have the right to refuse service, so I'm not sure why this ruling needed to be made. Now people can discriminate against any group openly and not suffer legal ramifications. Sounds like free speech, but it's just going to be abused by a-holes. Yay.

I find that picture of not serving trump supporters funny. How will they ID a trump supporter? By them wearing Maga hats?

The case of the web designer makes sense, a gay couple asked a devout Christian web designer to make a website for then. She politely said no because of her religious beliefs, and then the lgbtq decided to sue her and force her against her will.

I'll say this, I'm not a bigot. I am ok with gay people in general and don't consider them second class in any way. I don't like those who hate on them either, and I despise racists. But one thing I hate worse are people that shit on free speech.

How are you gonna ID a gay person? Sexual orientation isn't on a driver's license...yet (looking at you Florida).

The bigger issue was that this whole case was built on a lie. That "web designer" lied about who contacted her and why (or was lied to herself by external actors), and it made it all the way to SCOTUS, which is absurd. Nobody thought to contact the supposed person who made the request to see what was really going on. Really, nobody was forcing anyone to do anything. An agenda was pushed, and it got its desired outcome.

1. Battlefield 2142- Titan mode memories. Also, probably the most simultaneously generic and unique BF game. It was a more polished BF2, but had some cool new ideas.

2. Battlefield V- The most mechanically sound BF game. It's very fluid and plays so well. Squad revives added so much to team-play. Shame people ignored it because of pettiness over female soldiers in WWII.

3. Battlefield 4- Best variety of maps/weapons

Let me state a few truths and ask a few questions. Firstly, Covid-19 has multiple genes that are different from the closest naturally occurring relative strain. Those genes that are different are precisely the ones that needed to be changed to make it transmissible to humans. So either an astronomically unlikely scenario happen that the natural strain mutated multiple genes and only those genes in order to become transmissible, and even more astronomically unlikely, this happened a few blocks from a biolab we knew were working on making bat coronaviruses more transmissible to humans. And it just so happened someone consumed one of the animals carrying that specific new strain that doesn't exist anywhere else...

Or scenario B, it leaked from that lab that was breeding the viruses to be transmissible to people, also known as "gain of function" research which is confirmed was going on at the Wuhan lab.

Whether or not Covid came from a lab is largely irrelevant, honestly. The response would have been the same regardless; research a vaccine and distribute it. It could have come from nature. Unlikely yes, but not impossible. Viruses multiply extremely fast and their generations are shorter. This, combined with recombination and re-assortment, make it so they can evolve very quickly and unpredictably.

But so what? What would have changed if it was or wasn't from a lab? Probably nothing of note.

@JimB: Actually, freedom of religion (or lack thereof) is guaranteed by the Constitution. Thanks to the Bill of Rights.

I do find it interesting, however, that all fraud discovered has been from the right. Guess that's why they complained about voter fraud, they knew they were doing it.

Hey, if you are doing it your opponent must be doing it too! Maybe even worse! Yeah. That must be it!

Climate change policy or not, nitrogen emissions are exacerbating the climate crisis we are in now. All that nitrogen has to go somewhere. Ground water, runoff to rivers, lakes, ocean, etc. Guess what lives off nitrogen and thrives in warm water? Cyanobacteria and diatoms. These cyanobacteria and diatoms can form harmful toxic algae blooms when nitrogen levels and water temps reach a certain point. They can literally destroy aquatic ecosystems and cause problems for people as well.

  • Water prices go up due to increased treatment costs when there are toxic algae blooms, hurting farmers and those who need clean water (everybody).
  • Guess what happens when the algae starts to lyse and die? They release nerve and liver toxins that are devastating to wildlife and people alike.
  • They can make people and animals sick and can even kill them if they drink or some in contact with it (yes, the people too).
  • Fishing industry suffers due to the death of fish, molluscs, etc.
  • Remember when Michigan had some cities along lake Erie loose their water supply and had to ship in bottled water? Caused by an algae bloom and was economically devastating.

So when you complain about how farmers *need* to use excessive nitrogen-based fertilization methods and how "Big Gov" keeps farmers down, just remember that other people's livelihoods are on the line too. I think farmers can live with a little less yield for the sake of us all. Paying more for food sucks, but when the alternative is literally toxic water..... Yeah, I'll pay more.

Titanfall 2 and Dishonored 2 both did a similar level where you can change whether you are in the past or present. They were pretty neat. So much so, I kinda was hoping it would become a prominent mechanic of the game. Sadly just one level each, though.

What a gross overreaction. Poor choice of words, sure. But he shouldn't be crucified for it.

In order for words to be truly offensive, offensive intent is needed. That obviously isn't present.

Why do some people think Starfield will look better? It runs on modified Gamebryo- the same engine as Morrowind, lol. Also, Halo Infinite looks fine. But it doesn't look amazing and certainly isn't graphics king. More of a graphics jester.

Horizion looks good, but its very plasticy looking. Also has way too much DoF and motion blur, though. Honestly I think Battlefield V (PC of course) looks better, and it's a last gen game.
