X3 is a pretty good game, definitely beautiful to look at, but it really requires a lot of thinking to do well in that game. Either that, or a lot of time... manipulating the economy is pretty important if you ever want to get a big capital ship (or a fleet of them) and keep them maintained.

Worst thing about the game is that it includes starforce, but there are workarounds to that.

I enjoy and appreciate both, but honestly my slant is actually far more in favor of historically themed games if they are done WELL (read: accurately) to what they are supposed to model. It really grinds my gears when they say they completely ignore what really happened, or what it was really like, and then just paste the setting over it...

If WoW doesn't appeal to you it's likely nothing else will. But if you insist... try EvE Online.

Yep, I can at least see some cool modding potential for this thing at the very least.

I may be mistaken but are there not crosshairs in the game to show you where your character is aiming........4degrees

There are but crosshairs are relative to where the weapon is facing... it doesn't factor your eyesight as well into the equation. Sights allow you to align your weapon with your eyes (and thus, your arm motion with your eyes) and makes shooting faster & more accurate. Might be useful on higher difficulty levels

Here's an example of a kind of rail I'm talking about, maybe for other peripherals (namely sights)
