It's funny how companies and console fanboys all try to blame piracy for lack of PC releases but Halo 4, Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3, and many others ALL leaked to the internet before release for the Xbox (and probably PS3) but when was the last time we heard about that for a PC game?

Well, really this is nothing new and it's not such a bad thing. The market gets flooded with so many crap games, it would be better for the industry if fewer games were released but they were all of higher quality. Game 1 might sell a lot better if consumers didn't mistakenly spend their money on Game 2 or Game 3 which end up being a waste of money.

I wouldn't mind having a 3DS for a few of the games, but the 3D effect is awful so I'd turn it off and the price is still too high. It would've been better if they'd just made a followup to the original DS and kept the price down rather than including the expensive-yet-pointless 3D effects. Nintendo has been mistaking gimmicks for innovation for far too long I'm not sure how much longer they can keep it up.

@shadowhunter0 @Winterstrikes At least his insult was riddled with horrid grammar. It's pretty funny when people try to insult others' intelligence but fail miserably. His post was virtually unreadable.

@jer_1 It's just an idea for a compromise. If a developer is concerned about their ROI for producing a PC version of a game, this would give them a chance to raise money beforehand. Like billlabowski said, you get benefits for pledging different amounts. Not to mention, this would give PC gamers a way to put our money where our mouths are and show that we aren't all pirates and we're willing to do what it takes to get good games without DRM.

@shadowhunter0 Or maybe they'd be a true gamer who can't afford all the consoles so they pick the one with the best cost:benefit ratio? Let's try to keep the false dichotomies to a minimum, shall we?

Game devs should just start making KickStarter pages for PC versions of their games if they're worried about piracy. Raise $X Million and we'll release the game with always on DRM. Raise $Y Million and we'll release it with regular DRM. Raise $Z Million and we'll release it DRM free.

Why do people keep predicting the end of game consoles? Are businesses going to spontaneously cease to produce products that have a massive target audience? It's not like gamers are all of a sudden going to stop enjoying video games.
