Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dark Souls, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Saints Row: The Third, Batman: Arkham City, and let's not forget Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and you're complaining? The only reason to be complaining is to wonder where you're going to get the money for all of this gaming awesomeness!

The addition of dragons is a little more than a plus I'd wager in most gamers eyes. The addition of dragons was probably a major selling point to some who were much like you in a position where they weren't certain if they were going to get the game or not. The dynamics of the game is what I'm most excited about. The random dragons battles, the interactions with NPC's and the flow of combat, and the addition of perks I'm hooked, line and sinker. The improvements to the game engine definitely help matters, and of course it's an Elder Scrolls game. This is gaming at it's absolute best and we're only graced with it's presence every 5 years or so. Bethesda is among one of my favorite developers and that's solely based on The Elder Scrolls games alone.

[QUOTE="mrmusicman247"]First off, you have not played Dark Souls. So calling it Demon Souls 1.5 is called jumping to conclusions. Second, you have not played Dark Souls. So you have no idea what changes they made. As I understand the added this campfire feature. So that's something new but I'm sure that's not all. jjccjj92

Is the condescension really necessary? Obviously I haven't played the game, but I do have a significant amount of gameplay footage to form an opinion from and that opinion so far is that it looks like Demon's Souls 1.5. Almost all of the videos they've released so far have been commentated by the developers and they haven't once mentioned any new features or improvements, with the exception of the campfire thing, which isn't a new feature, but a slight alteration to how save points work. Either they're keeping that information under wraps and thus doing a poor job of marketing, or there's just no improvements to speak of.

I typically respect others opinions as they are entitled to one and have the right to express it, however I can't let this fly right here. There's never enough gameplay footage to formulate a credible opinion especially when the game isn't even out. The game may LOOK like a "rehashed" Demon's Souls, but whether it is or not remains to be seen. I would hate to see what games you've passed up based on footage.

[QUOTE="The-Gunzerker"]but when I'm in the middle of a heavy firefight I don't want my f------ gun jamming up every couple of rounds. Black_Knight_00
Then replace guns regularly. Problem solved

I guess I'm not conveying my opinion properly here. What I'm saying is that it's not a bad game features, but it's an annoyance. I don't mind it were it not something that happened so frequently. Why does the weapon jam up on me but not the A.I.? If it jammed up on them I sure as hell didn't notice, neither did my buddy who dragged my a-- to safety time and time again. I'm a long time fan of FarCry, but honestly 2 was just not what it was cracked up to be. I still thoroughly enjoy the game, but not without having issues.

Is there anything like a warrior monk or battlemage (wields swords and magic)?

BranKetra
Well if this game plays out anything like it's predecessor than by the time you hit the higher levels the classes become impossible to distinguish.

[QUOTE="Black_Knight_00"][QUOTE="The-Gunzerker"][QUOTE="Black_Knight_00"] Weapon jamming and degradation has been removed from the game

I wouldn't mind weapon jamming as long as it happened in moderation, something like 1-3% chance would be fine.

I think it works fine in FarCry 2, it adds thrills and immersion and you only need to replace a weapon after two combat-heavy missions or so. Plus you can find golden AK-47 that never jam

Cheap thrills that ended up becoming a nuisance in the long haul. Again I wouldn't have minded it so much had it not been such a recurring problem. I'm sure that the jamming issues could be explained from some b------- technical standpoint (i.e. climate, cheap materials, etc.) and praise be to the individual that can break it down for us, but when I'm in the middle of a heavy firefight I don't want my f------ gun jamming up every couple of rounds.

That Collectors Edition looks amazing, I'm glad I pre-ordered months ago. As I expected the game looks quite impressive. Only another month and a half to go!

I hope you don't have to travel 5km in this game in order pick a weapon that doesn't jam every 2 shots.

The game does look impressive, and whether there is an option to customize weapons or not it's certainly on my list of "must own" titles.

I'd be a hypocrite to say that I don't, but just because it's not state-of-the-art doesn't mean that it's going to make or break a game.
