To ha2e04--the PS3 has superior first-party games (evident in 2009 game of the year nominations and wins all over the place), and it is rare for any "inferiority" in a third party game to make a significant impact. The most horrible case of 3rd-party screw ups is definitely Bayonetta, which is most likely due to my above explanation--that the Bayonetta team simply are not up-to-date enough with programming know-how to be able to use the Cell. But like all the other third-party franchises and all the other developers who hit a snag with their freshman game on the PS3--their subsequent games will jump a bunch of hurdles and then the "differences" you will see will be like what you can see in Assassin's Creed 2 or Modern Warfare 2 (virtually no difference).

For a lot of these, when the article says the PS3 is "blurred" and the 360 has "better" textures, I feel like that's not an entirely accurate description. In the PS3 version it looks cleaner and smoother almost as if it's blurred on purpose (which may or may not be the case, but it is the end result, all the same). In the 360 it looks pixelated, which is just uglier. So it's a question of a technicality in superiority ("better" textures on the 360) versus actually just looking nice (PS3). The "differences" displayed here are so ridiculous. Sometimes the 360 actually looks better, and sometimes--despite what is written at the top of the page--the PS3 actually looks better. As for games running better on one system or the other--most of these games still have the bulk of their development team working primarily on the PC/360 because it's easier (more old school) to work on. There are still development teams and programmers out there who haven't learned to deal with the Cell efficiently just yet. So, the PS3 will continue to suffer from the Cell's architecture from certain developers. At the least, however, the PS3 has that excuse. Whenever the 360 is inferior, there is no excuse, but rather, the reason is that the developers learned to use the PS3 appropriately and the 360 simply does not match up.

Well, the PC does cost a lot more. When I get a new one, I'll definitely get the multiplatforms (that don't seem awkward on a keyboard) for the PC. It's weird how some games look better on the 360 and some are better on the PS3. Actually, it's not that weird. It just depends on the time developers put into which version.
