This is getting ridiculous, I'm checking wayback machine (gods bless it) to see the proper scores, lol.

Random example, Prince of Persia Classic (PS3 version):

(98 votes, 7.4 user score)

while now

I just logged in after a few months and WOW. I don't know where to start but most feedback already has got me covered.

Yeah the ratings are screwed. Especially regarding multiplatform releases. Some very weird numbers - and I have been tracking down the number of ratings for games that I own in their respective platforms.

I'm extremely annoyed that I now have to create a stack from scratch with the games I've played (hello? they're the same ones that I've rated...). And when we add games to stacks, we cannot even choose platform... If I own a game for two different platforms how can I add them both to my library/stack/whatever... where to start... where to start... (a little off-topic, but a simple 'add to another stack' button next to a stack's game would be handy, just like your old libraries system).

Some time early next year we'll redo the ratings UI so that you can chose the platform when you rate.

Any update on this? Ratings are still being added to the "leading" platform. Just take a look at COD: Ghosts vote breakdown for christ's sake. And the problem is that most casual users don't even know/care that they're rating a game in the wrong platform. How hard is it to add an option for the user to choose WHICH platform release is he rating? Just like you seem to be doing when choosing which platform release to "follow". My "Winning Eleven 9" (Pro Evolution Soccer 5... jesus, where can I see the different regional releases names now...) rating is now attributed to PSP and my "Tekken Tag Tournament" one to ARCADE while I had clearly voted them on PS2 and I'm not sure how to edit that now... And even if you do address this issue now, it will already be too late for all those months votes gone wrong. Ratings have been skewed, how can they be restored to a reliable state again?

I test-rated COD: Ghosts and my rating was included in the PC release. I re-rated (re-clicked on the same number) and voila! Now I have 2 RATING ENTRIES with the same rating in my user reviews list (ofc I deleted them afterwards out of fairness). So would that mean that someone can double and triple-click the rating button and his votes will be counted multiple times to the aggregate average? (also it now says on my main bar "Ratings & Reviews (1)" instead of (0), even though I deleted the new ratings)

Also, another more practical question for those of us who want to know what to follow and keep their online collections nice and clean. Why do God of War III: Ultimate Trilogy Edition release(s) belong to God of War III (GF | GS), and not inside God of War Trilogy (GF | GS), which seems far more appropriate? Yeah, I know, it's got the "III" on the title, but don't let it mislead you! It's a compilation, containing the full trilogy pack. Wouldn't it be far more useful if we moved the specific release(s) to the Trilogy gamespace?

Any reason why Killzone 2 can't connect with the metacritic rating? (if that is something you can fix from your end)

Yeah, I understand. All kidding aside, there are games that are split from the main 'branch', but there are also those (like the above example) that are completely missing from GS. I was just wondering, if the trick you mentioned applies - that is if by adding the id after the main url "gamespot.com/ " you are directed to the game's page - why on earth haven't we (they) made a script that tests all GS urls by GF id's to identify which id's (which games) are missing; subsequently, if such an automatic process exists, the system would autocreate the pages on GS from the missing id's list, and if that seems rather risky, at least it would generate a pending process list for the admins to approve. Even if manual insertion took some time, I don't think it would take more than a few weeks to reach a point where all games in the GF database would have their respective page here too. I know, I know, the games missing are mostly old or rather obscure, but still... you wouldn't have me pop up every now and then and ask my dear dracula for a fix :)

Title: UEFA Challenge
Platform: PlayStation, PlayStation 2
GF IDs: 581561 (PS1), 582094 (PS2)

Both PS1/2 are missing, but PC version seems to be there. Why keep the family separated, you devils? They should all get together and rejoice!

[QUOTE="TechSmurfy"]

Wow, you're fast today ;)

Note: Just in case it helps with titling, (correcting myself) it seems Xbox's Fatal Frame has a different title after all; Fatal Frame: Special Edition
japanese cover

* Another quick merging: Prince of Persia Trilogy - PS2 and PS3

* Also, whatever you did here (Alone in the Dark 4):[QUOTE="Dracula68"]

I can't add it either so I will assume everybody. I am gonna try one more thing. Again give it a few hours and then let me know what happens.

Dracula68

please do the same for Curse: The Eye of Isis. Again, it won't let me add the ps2 release to my lists (PC release works fine, for some reason).

FF and PoP are corrected. Let me check into Eye of Isis.

Edit: Try adding it now.

Nice one. Seems you removed the canceled US release. Thank you for attending to all issues.

[QUOTE="TechSmurfy"][QUOTE="Dracula68"] As a test I removed the "cancelled US release" so let's see if that fixes it when a few hours have passed from this post. If that doesn't work I have no clue what to try next but I'll try and think of something.

Dracula68

Nope. Still "Not available for My Collection". Is this an issue for all users, or is it just me?

;) Would splitting from a family be just as easy? I got another case;

Fatal Frame II (PS2) and Fatal Frame II (XBOX) are separated, and rightly so, cause there are gameplay differences (xbox version is the director's cut). But this does not seem to be the case with Fatal Frame (PS2/XBOX) while it should. The Xbox version, again, is essentially a director's cut, despite not being titled as Director's Cut. Imho they should be split, here's how different they are;
