@ alexLmx6 Good point...video games can be an escape of fustration/reality. But w/ an escape comes a void, and if someone adopts the persona of their idolized game character / game (whether cute or violent), it becomes detrimental (lack of personal social interaction, growing discontent w/ current life etc). It's definitely a symptom that requires growing attention.

I think that exposure to excessive, violent video games definitely have a psychological affect on a person (for instance, I don't react so badly to violent media reports as the common person). However, its really up to the person himself to see how they react to constant gaming. I really look foward to this essay...I'm tired of video gamers being biased towards the study and I'm tired of politicians/families completely blaming video gaming for a person's actions.

Gears of War was technically so good that they overdid it themselves...and I guess the sequel proves it lol I'll still rent it tho
