Or you could stay at home and watch it all live online or through DirecTV. OR wait a few weeks and obtain said videos for free through shady websites that may or may not deal in the distribution of torrents. Wading through a huge mass of sweaty bodies just to catch a glimpse of some game that isn't coming out for years is not my idea of fun. Or watching the inevitable person who is unfamiliar with Blizzard's policies on release dates ask the question "When's it coming out" then watching everyone on the panel depress the urge to kill that person and just say "When it's done." Also, somehow this person will always be the first in line to ask a question, thereby wasting one question for everyone else.

Meh....I don't really see a reason for me to upgrade from Vista. I have little use for 7's gimmicks and tricks.

Best thing you can do for a performance increase is to turn off AA. It doesn't affect picture quality much, but it's a huge resource hog and you will see a significant fps increase. (Especially if you are one of the ones who suffer from the VATS lag bug.) Also, consider swapping bloom for HDR. HDR is also a huge resource hog. There is more of a difference between Bloom and HDR though. With my current system (which is just a bit better then the recommended specs) I can run with everything maxed, including 15x AF, at 1920x1200 at a very stable and playable fps. I was even able to tweak some ini settings for even better picture quality. (Including forced 3.0 shaders) One major difference between my system and the test system is that I'm running XP and not Vista. They really should have tested the high end and recommended machines with XP....Also, why are they using beta drivers? Like someone already said, that kind of invalidates this whole feature....

Your problem is that the game doesn't take advantage of a lot of the tech you are using. The game doesn't utilize SLI very well, so your basically using 1 video card; The game doesn't utilize quad cores, it's only using 2 of the 4; Finally, anything over 2GB of ram isn't going to make any difference. I would have liked to see a performance / image quality comparison on the "awesome machine" between using Vista and XP. I've heard mixed reviews between Vista being worse or better.

Free MMOs always have been, and always will be complete garbage. Anyone who says otherwise obviously hasn't played a real MMO.

Cool.....I don't really care about the messenger but the other things seem useful.

1. StarCraft (apprently its a pretty good game?) 2. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (considering my second favorite game of all time is OOT, I should have played this....) 3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (see above) 4. Diablo 1 or 2 (see starcraft) 5. Chrono Cross/Trigger (I love rpgs, and I feel ashamed for having never played this one)
