[QUOTE="Sturmfuehrer_"]Who the hell are the government to tell me, an adult, what sort of content I should have in my games? Or how I should live my life in general? It's none of their god damn business. It's all part of my personal freedom.<Toxic-Seahorse

The government has a lot of say in how people live their lives, and regardless of what you just said, it's better that way. If they let everyone live the way they wanted we'd have a really backwards country. Crime, abusing children, plotting terrorism, drunk driving, all legal because people's lives are "none of the government's business." Laws are made to tell people how to live. Surly you don't want a country without any laws, right? Of course this only goes to a certain extent, but my post is just to summarize how you're wrong saying people's lives are none of the government's business. I still agree that censoring video games is stupid as there is no evidence that points to video games causing violence.

I'm not against laws, but everyone should be able to live their life as they please as long as they don't negatively affect or endanger the life of others.

Whatever I choose to do inside (or outside) of my home (or play on my PC/console/whatever) is NOT the government's business, unless - see the second part of my sentence above. We don't need a nanny state.

Playing games with violent/profane/sexual content does NOT affect others. If things like that make someone want to kill/shout at/rape other people, that person seriously needs help - but you can't blame the game for his or her behavior.

Personally, I don´t care what other countries do, as long as I don't have to live there. Where I live, I could even grow and take drugs inside my home if I would ever choose to do so, without having to fear any government intervention. Obviously, taking it outside or selling it would be a different story. I can buy and play uncensored games with lots of violence, profanity and sex, and it´s still a normal, European country. Can you imagine?! It´s actually one of the safest places to live in Europe, we barely have any crime, child abusement, terrorists (sigh) or drunk drivers.

That concept must be hard to grasp for Australian politicians.

[QUOTE="Rickylee"]

Wow BL you seem to be conflicted. First, if I read this correctly, your against banning game with adult content, rather you'd have a "R" rating on them. I agree with this since ratings don't keep me from buying the game. But then you ask if developers should have the "freedom" to include sexual content in their games. Do you not see the inconsistency in this? Doesn't matter your answer, I'll answer your question. Yes I would allow sexual content in games. What for? Because someone may like it in their game and there should be the "freedom" to do it sans censorship. "Freedom" comes at a price, if you want it you have to give it.

I'm talking about a specific type of sexual content, mostly rape.

Rape and sexual violence has no place in our games.

Games at the moment are not mature enough to handle something like that in terms of storytelling.

Considering how many gamers use "rape" as an insult, we're not ready as a medium. Keep it out.

I'm so glad that I don´t live in a country with any form of censorship!

Who the hell are the government to tell me, an adult, what sort of content I should have in my games? Or how I should live my life in general? It's none of their god damn business. It's all part of my personal freedom.

I just hope you're not involved in politics.

Don't mess with Ubi. You and your family will be sleeping under a bridge faster than you can say prince-of-copyright-infringement.

So many people switching to Chrome now.

Maybe a sneaky Google dev slipped some bad code into one of the recent FF releases?

Where's my tin foil hat...

If you mainly want to game, you just burned more money than necessary.

The Asus Maximus V Formula motherboard is something for enthusiats who intent to highly overclock their systems on water cooling.

A 3770K CPU is good if you do lots of office stuff, running highly threaded applications, but no gain in gaming over the 3570K.

A 1200W PSU? You could power 2 gaming rigs with that. 600-650W will be more than enough for one GTX680.

4x8GB RAM modules will be slower, as you loose the dual channel speed bonus. With 2x4GB you'll have "alot" of RAM, 16GB is already considered

overkill by some.

If you want to save a big wad of cash you should swap a couple of the parts. But if money is no object then keep everything and enjoy your new, massive e-peen.. Bragging rights inclusive! And make sure to post up some pics.

New goodies arrived...

Gonna add a pic of the finished build as soon as I'm happy with the cable routing.

After a couple of test games I can say that the combo of 3570k and the Windforce GTX670 eats everything @ Ultra settings & 1080p with at least 60 FPS all day long.

Must be Half Life. First game I really got hooked on.

Crysis was fun, as was COD4, but nothing ever came close to that experience.

With the use of some painters masking tape, black spray paint, some electrical tape (black), heat shrink wrap (black), some zip ties (black) and a black sharpie Ive managed to get rid of just about everything that isnt black, white or grey. Ill post another pic when the white LED fan is installed.

Have you tried to update the firmware? Especially on the motherboard and the SSD drive.

The early versions on most of the Z77 boards can go a bit funny sometimes.
