If this trend continues you have to expect PAX West will also be in jeopardy, given the fact that it is in Seattle. Hopefully this virus is quelled soon.
@Tekarukite: Also as a follow up, it has since been announced that there will indeed be a cartridge version of the game. As I said all along, it was always possible. Glad to hear that the company isn't tone def and that the blatant digital-only cash grab was stopped.
The game included a cartridge, as well as a download code.
Regardless the point still stands that each port is completely different in terms of sizing files. The very fact that Witcher 3 (complete edition no less) can be crammed onto a cartridge is a bloody miracle. And even that had a substantial day one patch.
And to that last point, we live in a day one patch world. Customers now expect that as the norm.
If the port of The Outer Worlds somehow comes in at 40 - 60 gig like some of its counterparts I'll be stunned, as it would already negate huge swatches of Switch owners that don't yet own proprietary storage cards.
My guess is that the game size will be much, much smaller. But we'll see.
@Tekarukite: I don't buy it. If the complete Witcher 3 game can fit on a cartridge then The Outer Worlds definitely can. Besides, The Outer Worlds should only be about 20GB large...
