maybe its just that fighting is a dead genre to me. there has been absolutely NO innovation ever since they started going 3D. IMO, you play one fighter of each gaming style (action like SSMB, 3D like virtua fighter, or 2D like street fighter) , you played them all

the same can be said about many other genres for me, primarily more on consoles. to me they seem like the same games with newer graphics.

If you ever played any of those games competitively, the huge differences between them would be apparent.

Sounds good, didn't like Partners in Time that much. It was too linear, but I liked the bros items.

Actually, alot of Smashers dislike Brawl for being too different from Melee and Smash 64.

Yep, especially when you only play in a handful of stages, use a handful of characters and turn off any random element. I'm sure glad that what made smash bros fun wasn't the characters, stages, or items.poster

If you're being sarcastic.

If people didn't enjoy playing Smash competitively then they wouldn't travel across the country and to others to compete while providing housing and rides to total strangers who do so as well. Infact, I'd say competitive players love and enjoy Smash more any casual ever will.

"[Insert game here] is a noob fest."

Generally these people aren't any good at the game they've mentioned and haven't played them competitively.

I consider competitive gamers hardcore. They travel across the country and others aswell to compete, provide housing and rides to those who do the same, and some of them are good enough at the games they play to make a living competing in it.

In Majora's Mask, completing the Stone Tower, retrieving all the fairies within it, and then saving only to have the game crash.

I've always considered competitive gamers hardcore, specificly the ones who provide housing and rides for those who travel across the country and others to compete in tournaments while attending them their selves.

Useless party members, specificly the ones you have to level up in order to progress through the later levels. They're one of the reasons I've pretty much given up on JRPGs, although I'm really enoying Chrono Trigger right now.
