I really enjoy the new wrestling games, including WWE '12. This is due to the wealth of characters, arenas, match types, and customization options available. That being said they're not that enjoyable to anyone who isn't a hardcore fan. WWE All Stars was enjoyable for everyone but was lacking in content with only three (rather weak) storylines and minimal arenas. I really want them to make a WWE All Stars 2 with more wrestlers, more complex storylines, and more modes of play. But with the same gameplay of course.
Sure, I played games on my Iphone when I had one, but most of those games to me were just quick fixes rather than deep experiences. I don't really consider them games for hardcore gamers. Infinity Blade is great, but other games like Angry Birds just aren't deep enough for me (albeit addicting in short bursts). Not to mention a lot of games on Iphone and Android aren't accompanied by proper gaming inputs. Touch-based devices just don't provide the kind of interactivity that I'm looking for as a gamer. Case in point, If I want a gaming device I'm going to buy a dedicated gaming device, if I want a phone I'll buy a phone that happens to have games. However, I'll never go to that phone for my primary game experiences unless I'm stuck somewhere and that's the only device on me.
I don't care at all about pro gaming. So two guys spent their lives getting really good at a videogame. To me it's more sad than exciting. Instead of sitting on a sofa for hours on end playing a digital martial artist they could have actually gone out and learned a martial art for themselves and gotten some really good exercise.
It's still a challenge to level for me, so I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't yet been able to keep my attention on the game long enough to get beyond 40; and I've had WoW from a year after release.
