I am so glad that this extremely intelligent politician can inform us that video games "Affect people". I am sure the lives of millions have been much more affected by video games than by guns.

I am so glad this politician is just being honest and not trying to garner more votes from the gun lobbyists, which just so happen to be one of his biggest supporters.

For real though.... the sad thing is, all these politicians have turned this awful event into a political campaign. All the gun-lovers are under heat from the federal government so any politician who is more against games is clearly going to get their vote.

I feel bad for the young kids nowadays actually, because their parents see the Nintendo system as a family system with childish games that their children can enjoy.. and best of all? It's not even that expensive! (The perks you get for being a generation behind, eh?)

Now don't get me wrong, some of the games can be really fun.... but for my interests, they just don't compare to what the other systems are offering. But that's just my taste. You're entitled to your own. But please don't go around saying that other fanboys are the immature childish ones... While that's partially true, you can't deny what Nintendo's market is.

I used to love Nintendo, but lost hope after I purchased the Wii. What sealed their fate imo, was the PATHETIC online mode for Super Smash Brothers. That's what did it for me.

How is Gamespot rapidly going down? Because the author has an opinion that differs from your own? Dry your tears, change your diaper, and move on. I happen to agree 100% with this article. It's the truth. If this was an article about Sony or Microsoft, the article would get the same amount of traffic and comments. People love console flame wars. It has nothing to do with it targeting Nintendo this time around... but I will say that it's about damn time.

The extent at which they are attacking video games is unbelievable. It's as if everything else is fine in their eyes but video games are the plague that is making people go crazy and kill people.

Because, you know, the world was such a peaceful place with rainbows everywhere and unicorns and all the world races got along together in harmony. I guess video games ruined it all. Before video games, there was absolutely no violence or massacres. About time they stepped in and did something about this!
