I just recently checked up on this after giving it a hard pass at launch and forgetting about it. Was hoping it would be cheap, and wanted to play a casual, chill game again since it's been awhile.
Wow. The price to get caught up with this game in fucking insane. It would cost me hundreds of dollars to get the game and expansion packs, and that's not even including all those bullshit "stuff" packs.
What a complete money grab. **** this game, **** Maxis, and **** EA.
Good. I can't believe this wasn't in from the beginning. Stupid decisions fucked this game. I bought it and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it at launch (periodic connection issues aside), and then I took a break to play some other games.
When I came back it was unbearable. The people who continued to play had gear that would just destroy you. They needed to launch the game with playlists where gear didn't matter, where the only thing it changed was your cosmetic appearance. It just wasn't fun or fair and I stopped playing again immediately and uninstalled. I'd be happy to try this game again if they make some intelligent decisions.
@lavamelon: Nonsense. Trunks would be a weak little pansy if Yamcha was the father. So many more interesting and amazing things happened because Trunks is a Saiyan. If he was 100% human, he'd have been forgotten like the other losers that try but inevitably get stomped.
@therealmattheew: I'm sure hoping so. When they opened with the Uncharted DLC, I looked over at my brother and said "I hope this doesn't mean no Last of Us".
Hoping when they release something in it, it gives me the same reaction as when I saw them reveal the first one.
@trolleyproblem: No, I was saying I hyped myself up for the game, not really the conference.
My fav game on Xbox is Halo, and Microsoft confirmed before the conference there would be nothing on it, so I was able to control my expectations lol. As for Nintendo, only thing I care for on that platform is Zelda, and seeing how one just came out, I knew there would be no big announcements involving the franchise.
Also, having a preference of one console/game over another is not the definition of a fanboy, but thanks for the -almost- life lesson.
