If you're going to give math lessons, at least know how to calculate simple percentages.

Xbone sold 3mil, PS4 sold 4.2mil; for a difference of 1.2mil. 1.2, divided by 3 is .4, or 40%. So yes, the PS4 has sold 40% more consoles than the Xbone....40% of 3 million is 1.2 million.

Go back to school, kid.

You don't use 3 million as the 100% dumbass, you use 4.2 million as 100%. You divide 1.2 by 4.2 stupid. 4.2 million is the 100%, not 3 million. You divide 1.2 million by 4.2 million and it's 29%. 1.2 million is 29% of 4.2 million. You cows are dumb as dirt. if you add 1.2 million to 3 million that would be 100%. Go back to school. I was mastery Trig before you were born kid.

4.2 million is 40% more than 3 million, no matter how many insults you put in your reply.

"I was mastery Trig" is also a pretty good indication you got the same grades in grammar as you did in mathematics.

No it isn't. Learn math dude, learn math. Trig is short for Trigonometry. You guys really can't be that stupid can you?

Start here: Xbox has sold 100% of the consoles that xbox has sold. That's 100% of 3 million. 4.2 million is 140% of 3 million. Sony has sold 140% (40% more) of the units MS has. No one who has been breathing long enough to make 17k posts on this forum should have a problem following that. If you can't, ask your parents for help... seriously. Comprehension is a life skill.

He made fun of your bad grammar... "I was mastery Trigonometry" doesn't make any sense grammatically or in context. Your inability to comprehend that from a one line sentence is astounding.

Furthermore, you're arguing about algebra. Trig, or being a 'mastery trig' has nothing to do with it. Based on all this, I'm going to say you're probably in remedial mathematics in junior high.

Protip: If you don't know what you're talking about, you're going to come off like a real big dumbass to everyone who does.

Well since we are throwing stupid facts around, I forgot that is what you do, TLOU has nothing to do with the PS4. The PS4 has nothing to meet the xboxone's exclusives right now. Let's stick to either ps4 vs xbone or ps3 vs 360, chump.

I've had more fun with KZ and WT than I've had with Forza and DR3. Neither KZ or DR3 are particularly strong compared to their predecessors... Forza itself feels like a stripped down demo after spending so much time with Forza 4. The lack of content makes it hard to shake the obvious feeling that the game was rushed for launch.

War Thunder is probably my favorite game on either so far... I didn't like it much on PC but the console control scheme feels like the happy medium between an unrealistic KB/M and Joystick play which really just puts you at a disadvantage vs the former.

If you've actually played everything both consoles have to offer, its much more of a toss up between which has better exclusives.

Well the One's issues started with the conceptual phase and R&D costs are a function of that. They wanted to make something special with Kinect 2 using all the lessons they learned from Kinect 1. They wanted it to be more attached and central to your living room so the HDMI pass-thru was explored. They also wanted an APU but were worried about ponying up on an all-GDDR5 solution so they made the choice of going with ESRAM and DDR3. All of which come with pros and cons with regards to furthering the development of the APU and system.

Not to mention all the talented programmers and engineers they had to put towards the various parts of the project. Perhaps it ended up more complicated than it needed to be. Without Kinect, they would have saved a pretty large sum of that invested money...but hindsight is 20/20. Really, we won't know if all that R&D has made for a truly better product for a few years when more software arrives, the OS is refined, and developers find interesting ways to use Kinect2.

Well put. I think that their stuborness with the kinect is really their biggest hurdle right now. I don't think the technology is where they would like it to be and in extension to the problems you mentioned during the consoles development, I'm betting kinect is also behind the extended delays and difficulties MS is having launching into additional markets.

In the end MS took a shot at trying to steal back a bit of the casual crowd by incorporating TV and voice features -- but really in terms of a feature-set the X1 isn't offering much beyond what a tv tuner and a microphone could do 10 years ago. It reminds me of how Apple built up the iPhone by throwing existing technologies into a new package and marketing the crap out of it. Apple was on point with their timeline though -- the boom of smartphones -- I think MS is about 5 years too late with what their trying to push now and it definitely should be implemented better than it is at release.

I'm waiting for games on the xbone like I am for the playstation. I don't get it.

Agreed. Once I played out DR3/Forza/KZ/WT (none of which are spectacular or beyond anything I've been playing on past-gen) the only thing left on either console are the multiplats. Neither console has an advantage in games right now. Early adopters are trying to justify their purchases by tearing the other system down... threads like these only serve to give a heads up on whose opinion I can disregard moving forward ;)

I've seen quite a few ads on Craigslist where people are trying to swap their PS4 for XBones, so it's not really that surprising.

Personally I don't see why anyone would buy either console at launch. There just aren't any good games, that you can't already buy on the 360 and PS3.

Not sure that applies due to the difference in price.

From my experience, there isn't a huge difference between the two right now. Since burning out on Forza last week I haven't really used my xbone lately as I bought most of my multiplats on the ps4 and I've been having a lot of fun with War Thunder.

The only reason I could see swapping one for the other if you've already picked one up at this point is to get on the same platform as your friends. Its still a crapshoot how things will turn out down the road. If you're doing it because of something you read or heard, you're probably too fickle for your own good.

This obviously isn't the death knell for Microsoft that some posters are making it out to be... but coming out of the gate behind the eight ball there's no doubt they're concerned with how their market share is going to look after the PS4 Japan launch in Feb.

If Microsoft can outpace PS4 with production they should be able to steal enough sales to keep in step by then but these next two months are going to be huge.

Thanks for the work TC.

Titanfall as everyone here is aware, is the most anticipated game of 2014, and maybe ever.

Looking forward to it myself, but stopped reading here.

Because you own a console instead of a PC. You can stop lying about it, because everyone already knows. Claiming that you bought the PS4 ot XboxOne because of their super awesome graphics is like claiming that you bought a WiiU because of all of its great 3rd party games. If you really cared about graphics, you would be playing games on the PC in 1080p/60fps every single time, but you are not, so you obviously just don't really care about it, and that's O.K. 720P gaming looks good enough for most people, although that's exactly what you played all last gen. At least console owners will get upscaled 1080P on some titles.

They wish they could game on PC but since they cannot afford it or understand it they have to settle for consoles instead.

I'm primarily a PC gamer as well, but If you had friends that came over to game, you'd probably understand the value behind owning something more accessible.

Buying a gaming PC isn't financially arduous relative to a $400 console. Don't be ignorant.
