I like alot of the stereotypes. It's just the culture which doesn't fit in to the pomp associated with England :(

Dislike stereotypes about the queen, though. She is powerless and irrelevant, yet foreigners and even fellow Britons don't seem to realise that...

I agree with the OP. Plus, it should be easier to get your console online. I was quite puzzled when trying to connect my PS3 to the internet, and I never did manage to get it there.

With the PS3, at least,we're ata stage where even larger and fleshier games are feasible whilst retaining brilliant graphics. It's no longer a trade off issue. Although it's also about studio time. Shame that the PS3 is harder to program for, it might see an even greater variety of games. In fact, I want even more diversity myself.

I just hope that consoles don't go too close to the Wii's model and focus on cheap kicks with motion sensing. Some greater use of motion sensing might be fun and notdetract fromactualcontentif it is employed in a creative fashion, but it shouldn't go too far towards party games... no thank you.

Well, all pre- PS2 Final Fantasies on PS3, for starters. Shogun:Total War for PC, as well.

[QUOTE="nimatoad2000"]twilight, mainstream extreme metal that isnt really extreme or metal ( disturbed / slipknot) , shaving your downstairs, popular bands in general.. of today, of forever.. but especially now ( ever sence image started to matter more than music itself) , too many remake movies, or adaptations of other things ( comics/ books / video games) and nothing origianal. thats all i could think of right now.tzar3

How the hell is Disturbed and Slipknot extreme? Let alone Metal anyways.

Nu Metal maybe, but still crappy...

Slipknot and Korn definitely fit the mold of lame cliche bands. Disturbed seem alright to me, though. Especially because of a particular insightful masterpiece called "Get Psycho".

Its not dumbed down, except for maybe some of the characters, but the hero is definitaly more accessable to the mainstream than, say, the VI characters, Terra or Celes.. Its true that something can be a massive hit and retain its quality, but VII is a step down from VI in characters and in story telling and I view it is one of the worst in the series, after the Faicom trilogy. The narrative collapases after you leave Midgar and some of the characters, Barrett for example, are done poorly.texasgoldrush

Compared to other Final Fantasies, yes, it does have a relatively weak story and some things are missing from it. Yet the atmosphere is brilliant, to me.

I'm not really up to date with current fads. The Jade Goody fad recently was extremely annoying, though. Oh yes, the continuing rise in social networking gets into my skull. BlARGGGGGHHHHH

And whoever said that subcultures are fads, that's kinda silly. Weeaboos have been around for ages :D
