I agree with the OP. Plus, it should be easier to get your console online. I was quite puzzled when trying to connect my PS3 to the internet, and I never did manage to get it there.
With the PS3, at least,we're ata stage where even larger and fleshier games are feasible whilst retaining brilliant graphics. It's no longer a trade off issue. Although it's also about studio time. Shame that the PS3 is harder to program for, it might see an even greater variety of games. In fact, I want even more diversity myself.
I just hope that consoles don't go too close to the Wii's model and focus on cheap kicks with motion sensing. Some greater use of motion sensing might be fun and notdetract fromactualcontentif it is employed in a creative fashion, but it shouldn't go too far towards party games... no thank you.
