Stealing America

2008 marks the year when the Russians invade America. Chaos and panic are widespread throughout the country. The majority of American leaders and politicians have been assassinated. The U.S. is no more. Explicit material.

Edit: I see that they censored a lot of items. Ho hum.

Stealing America

Part I
The Beginning
Upstate New York
1700 Hours, January 4, 2008

"Unbelievable," I heard Tom mutter, still staring in awe and terror at the television screen.I passed him a glance and then continued watching the news report where a young, shell shocked soldier and a news reporter talked about the sudden, horrific shelling and bombings that have occurred in the last two days at all military installations, whilst they also take place in the background of the interview,
"...What of this installation, Private? Fort Gulkana?" the soldier appeared frightened and hysterical,
"Fort Gulkana?! Gulkana isn't going to make it! We're **** this is **** crazy! Soon the pigs will be sendin' **** foot soldiers?! No, **** that, I did not sign for this **** There's not enough-" the camera shook violently and fell down to the ground as mass shelling took place approximately 150 yards away. The news station then went to static, before Tom shut it off completely.
"What the hell is this ****,dude!? Fort Gulkana is way too close for comfort! What the **** are we supposed to do? I'm shaking..." Tom stood up and began pacing around the room before sitting in my computer chair. He slammed his fist hard on the desk before declaring,
"This is ****ed!" I shut my eyes and leaned back against the wall, slowly sinking down into a sitting position after noticing my girl sitting in the corner with her head hung low.
"You okay? Come here." I said softly to Evelyn, who appeared shocked and emotionless. She slowly walked over to me and I grabbed her and pulled her close. She began sobbing as she grabbed a tight hold of me. I pushed her long, blonde hair out of her face and kissed her softly on the cheek before embracing her fully in a hug.
"Brandon, what is all this, what's going on?" She asked in a dejected manner.
"I honestly, don't know," I sighed and toyed with the sterling silver cross hanging from her neck, the one I gave her last Christmas. I caught a glimpse of Evelyn's face. I could tell she was preparing for the worse, which was probably a smart idea since this did not look, by any means, that it was going to get better. Still, I needed to comfort her and be there for her at the moment. I turned her head with my hand so that it faced me and told her in a heartfelt manner, " Listen to me, we are going to make it, Evelyn. I swear to you, I will not let anything happen to you. Okay?" I took a deep breath and stood up, Evelyn was still holding my hand and wouldn't let go. "Honey, why don't you go sit out in the other room real quick, okay?" After hesitating momentarily, she silently agreed and slowly trudged out of the room.

I was about to go shut the door but then sat down on my bed seeing that Tom had already shut the door.
"Dude, I am freaking out! Serious **** is going down and it's a matter of time before the bombings and raids start arriving at the areas surrounding Gulkana! We're **** this is bull****. I mean, Jesus Christ! This is so-"
"Shut up!" I yelled, cutting Tom off,
"Panicking is not going to help he situation!" I closed my eyes and said nothing for about thirty seconds before I finally spoke quietly in almost a whisper,
"Alright, those ****s are going to come here, they are going to bomb and raid this whole area as well as most of the country most likely. We are just going to have to deal with this **** and not panic. We need to start thinking straight." I scratched my head and passed him a sincere glance.
"Okay, okay. I need to get some sleep and check on my Grandmother. I'll be over sometime in the morning, unless some real **** goes down sooner. I'll come over as soon as possible if something goes wrong." Tom said quickly before heading for the door.
"Be careful man." I said, and he gave me a worried nod.

After Tom left I had the urge to turn the news back on, I resisted though. More bad news is all it would bring me. Tom would probably be over here earlier than expected. Things were getting worse by the minute. "Damn," I muttered and sat down on my bed. The sound of mother nature was labeled inferior and replaced by the now everlasting drone of sirens, alarms, and screams. I was starting for the door to get Evelyn when the phone rang. I bit my lip and grabbed ahold of it while checking the name. It was John, I was expecting to hear from him.
"Hello?"
"Holy **** man!" John exclaimed.
"Dude, you guys alright?" I immediately asked him.
"I don't know, dude. This **** is ****ed up. Mom's real scared. Can't say I'm not either. I have a feeling that everywhere around Gulkana is about to be ****ed." John's voice obtained a stressed tone.
"I know, we have to meet up eventually..." I muttered, not knowing much else to say to him.
"What about you guys? And your Mom and sisters?" John asked.
"I can only hope they're okay." I replied, my voice acquiring an air of anguish. "She left about two days ago for Syracuse to get the girls from Dad. She hasn't returned., and I don't expect her too." I clenched my fist and punched the wall in rage.
"Oh God, dude. I'm sorry." John became silent and then spoke,
"Listen, call my cell when **** hits the fan near you, alright?"
"Yeah, be careful." I said before pushing the end button.

I threw the phone against the wall and stormed out of the room in the anger I just acquired from reminding myself of my Mother and sisters. Suddenly, I stopped though and took on a gentler appearance as I saw Evelyn sitting on the wooden chair. She was watching the horrid news stations and learning second hand just how bad things were really going. I softly turned the television off and took her by the hand. She quickly pulled away from me.
"Eve? What's wrong? I told you, I won't let anything happen to you!" I spoke to her, tenderly. "Shut up! Just shut up!" She began sobbing.
"You really think you can stop any of this?" She glared at me and shook her head.
"We can't escape any of this! Trying to survive in this is just going to postpone our deaths, that is all!" She fell into my chest and I caught her with my arms and propped her up against myself.
"Eve, I swear to you. We can survive this. Events like this can only last so long..." I sighed and looked into her eyes, I'd say anything right now to calm her down.
"I love you, so much, babe. Go home and get some sleep. Call me first thing in the morning." I said tenderly as she began slowly walking away.
"I love you too..." She said before descending down the stairs and to the front door.
*****

For the next six hours, as much as I didn't want to, I had been watching the news and listening intently. Later I knew I had to get some sleep when I glanced at the clock and it read, "12:34".
I cascaded down the stairs into the bathroom and ripped the medicine cabinet open. After yawning I scanned the titles that labeled the various containers until my eyes rested on the words, "Sleeping Solution". I took the bottle and dragged myself back to my room. Sitting on my bed, I dumped 2 pills into my hand and then took them after fumbling them between my fingers.

Cpaschal, I'd say you have a pretty good and diverse list.

I just got my 360 Elite for Christmas and right now only have BioShock and Halo 3.

[QUOTE="SilentSoprano"]why should he not be able to include halo 3, because you're so touchy on your beloved master chief?JaviBonilla23
yes and what? I politely asked for you guys not to include it, its not a dissapoinment is olnly that you dont know how to appreciate it.

Haha he asks for us to give our opinions, but just not anything about Halo 3. Hmmm. Nah, I don't see the censorship in that statement...

Halo 3 for me. Mainly there was too much hype and it couldn't live up to it. I still play online regularly even though that was the greatest disappointment in my opinion. There are so many glitches on LIVE in that game, it's ridiculous. Bungie desperately needs to be working on a patch. The single player was just like Halo 2's for me as well. In the sense that, it's pretty awesome the first time (or couple times) you play it. But after that, you never want to play it again, and ti was really short. I'm still a huge Halo fan though.

So far BioShock has been it for me. But being busy, I haven't even beat it yet.

Alright, so I just found out that I totally screwed up. I guess I wasn't supposed to kill Cohen in Fort Frolic. I was reading online and found out that I now cannot get the achievment for entering his room because it's locked because I killed him. Does this mean I'll have to start all the way back at Fort Frolic to do so? I sure hope not because I'm now in Olympus Heights. Oh man, this sucks so bad.

Alright, so I recently got XBL. On Halo 3 I set the voice to come out of the headset only. It still seems to come out of the speakers though. Any way to fix this?
