I was in the same boat as you and it finally unlocked today,it just takes too much time.I think time also passes while you're playing online,at least that's what happened to me while I barely did anything else on the story mode before the icon popped up,so if you're into online spend some time there and regularly check if the mission becomes available.I don't think it's a bug either since the only time that the epsilon questline reportedly gets bugged is after you deliver the cars and you seem to have passed that with no problem.

I'm not sure what's the case with the Minute Men to be honest.

You don't have to complete the challenge maps.I'm half way through them and using the Batman Beyond skin.

To the guys, who say kotaku posted a major spoiler of Arkham city, they actually didn't.What they were talking about was
the scene, where Batman found the dead Joker the first time in the steel mill, since the demo they were playing ended at that precise moment. But as we know that turned out to be a wrong spoiler since a few seconds later a living Joker had him captured.
Only the combat was good about Bayonetta, everything else was not so good and easy to forget.
I thought DMC was cheesy until I played Bayonetta.

GOW3 was more epic and definetly a better experience.

Bayonetta's final battle is a world ending situation where you're fighting the creator of the universe with beautifull biblical choir chants for soundtrack. If that doesn't scream epicness I don't know what does.

In God of war 3, your pratically gone from hell and back and fighting gods and titans. Without giving any spoilers away, the story is great and has characters from greek mythology each with their own ability and it does great to immerse you in there. In gaming, the defintion of epic includes kratos somewhere in there.

In Bayonetta, your fighting against weird angel monsters and witches. The stages are poor. It feels like a rip off from Devil May Cry series, think of the last level in DMC4.

And the hair weaves moves? Which she gets semi-nude.. I think Hugh Hefner had something to do with this game.

Almost every game has a world ending situation lol.

There are plenty of epic games such as Demon Souls, Assassins Creed, Shadow of the Collossus, any Final Fantasy, MGS4, Half Life, Goldeneye, Star wars:KOTOR, Halo, Mass Effect, Shenmue 2, and so on. Heck even the last level of Ace Combat 5,4 was epic just because of the music.

Bayonetta is ONLY good for the fluid combat. Its not enough to justify its the best game in its genre.

Vanquish deserves more love than Bayonetta.

Of God of War and Bayonetta, its basically this.

Weird angels and witches is one way to say it,a tone of different great-looking angels and a witch, who happens to be your rival and offer you one the greatest moments in the history of gaming is another. The half-assed levels in DMC4 have nothing on Bayonetta and it's beutiful stages, from Vigrid to Paradiso and the final building and then to space the game's environments are full of creativity and detail. Half of the games you mentioned aren't parallels to what I am describing with the final fight of Bayonetta,I'm not talking just about a climactic battle.Yes the MGS4 final battle is epic but not in an apocalyptic way like say Kefka in FF6.You did mention Final Fantasy but many of the other games don't discribe what I'm talking about. The combat is fantastic enough for me to not be bothered or offended with the wicked weaves leaving Bayonetta half-naked.And yes even if all your other points were true, the combat system is enough to justify it being the best. You're talking like it's a small part of the game, while it's the HEART AND SOUL of it.There is a tone of different weapons, accessories and combo options for you to explore the game for a lot of time to come while going through every angel, every boss battle in every difficulty mode. And by the way the pic you just posted is from an article comparing both GOW and Bayonetta demo, giving the advantage to the latter, which I guess makes her both a hot ass and a badass.
I am not a Bayonetta citicizer, but the boss battles with the big monsters werent that great. They were pretty bland as far as freedom goes it and it was the same thing... Jump on one platform, go to another, hit him with a overpowered boot that isnt available outside of the the boss battle. And the Jubileus boss battle was the same thing as well, only difference is that you were on this weird sphere platform. But the other boss battles against people were great though. Also, if you liked the Jeanne fight, play the end of KH2, I think that a lot of the things in that fight were greatly inspired by the final boss fights in that game But all in all, not even the best of the boss fights in Bayonetta is even messing with the boss fights for GOW3.

I don't agree with you're saying about the boss battles,it was more than just jumping platforms, they had a great variety of patterns and attacks for you to memorize and overcome.I might check KH2,I like playing ps2 games once in a while.

I was thinking of picking up a copy of bayonetta, have they patched up the ps3 versions problems? if not I might go and get the 360 version.

supdotcom
Only the loading issues.I have it in ps3 and it's still a great game, but since you have a 360 definitely buy that version.

Probably my favorite moment in gaming this gen, key word here "probably", because figthing Father Balder and Jeanner are also incredible moments :)

Exactly! To me the final Jeanne fight is of legendary status, but Jubileus and Balder don't fall too far behind, with the last two having the best themes in the game imo and two of the best in generall. Seriously,I wonder what the Bayonetta criticizers have to say about such boss battles.
