Isn't that what they HAVE to say about every 3DS game? They did, after all, create a 3D system it's only natural they will want to use it as a selling point. They said it about other games in the past, I switched the 3D off on those too and it didn't dampen my experience (granted my experience was Super Mario 3D Land and imo the game was a steaming pile anyways, 3D or not)

@Defender1978 @SolemnJedi79 you DO know that there is no current way to emulate PS3 or 360 games on the highest end PC's yet right? So how do you expect the PS4 to be able to accomplish this? It's a technological limitation at the moment, not a cash grab.

@Defender1978 @SolemnJedi79 In order to achieve backwards compatibility, one of two things need to occur. Either the new console needs to have very similar CPU architecture as the previous, in which case, very little advances will be made (Gamecube to Wii) or the system needs to Emulate the previous consoles CPU, which takes many times the power of the console it's trying to emulate.

Basically, as consoles get more powerful, it is much harder to emulate them. The PS4 would need to be several times the power of the PS3 to be able to pull that off, and we'd be looming at a pricetag in the quadruple digits.

Don't sell your PS3. Bottom line.

@Defender1978 So your SNES could play NES games? or your Mega Drive played SMS games? How about that N64 playing SNES games?... or that Gamecube playing 64 games... being a gamer for 30 years, BC should be a bonus, not an inclusion.

Well at least one good thing might come out of it. Retail stores will HAVE to sell their games factory sealed. If a staff member decides to 'test' one like they often do, no one else will be able to play it.

I agree that it's bullshit however, once you pay for something it's yours to do with as you will, you should never have to keep paying for it, in one way or another.

@bhmg @stan_hg Just try and refrain from Diablo comments when you start playing the game, the hardcore PoE players hate having it compared to Diablo :D

@Setsuna00 @Gelugon_baat Yeah the Diamond supporters get to work with the developers on the creation of a unique item to be added to the game at some point. At present I'm also in closed beta, the game offers optional supporter packs which net you posters, soundtrack downloads, and for the Silver Supporter and above, a physical DVD copy of the game, but give you NO advantage in game at all. As far as I'm aware, Grinding Gear Games are against anything that is 'pay-to-win'

It's also interesting to note that they have currently sold over 500 Diamond Supporter packs (that's $999 each)

@Salt_AU Same. Even a game on release is half the price. I'm not ashamed to say, that because Australia was shafted so badly on 3DS pricing, I have a US version (I paid $249 instead of $349, it was even $399 in some places), and order all my 3DS games (the US versions) online and pay around $40 per game (sometimes less). There are only a couple of issues, no impulse buying (which is a good thing I guess) and if I want to download from the eShop I need to buy a US points card online.

@davedrastic haha I was actually having a dig at my sisters boyfriend a couple of months ago, he's a gamer, works in Big W, and they do the same thing. Only saving grace was that he said if someone specifically asks for a sealed copy, they do have some available they will give to them, they only open and catalogue/display a certain percentage of their stock.

And yes I hate stickers too.. >_<

EB Games have higher prices, and inferior product. I know technically it's not considered second-hand, but personally, I consider opening a game case and removing the disc, storing it in a draw, only to put it back in the case and sell it, second-hand. I don't know about everywhere else, but when asked for a sealed copy at my local EB Games they said "We don't sell sealed copies" therefore I buy online, where I get my games NEW and factory sealed, and cheaper. Still physical copies, as even with shipping it's cheaper than EB Games.
