@Gelugon_baat @Dazza102 Whether you like it or not, it is nearly the same thing. For one being same engine, same animations in fact a little more than ARMA 2 and OA vanilla, same graphics, same movement, sap editor, same scripts, AI is a little bit less refined at the moment, but still similar. There are only 4 notable differences being: armor penetration system is not based on hitpoints like ARMA 2 and actually has a deflection system, it is based in WW 2 times, much buggier, but at the releases of ARMA 2 and OA vanilla they were just as buggy, and connections in MP are not so great and not always because of geological locations, and it is made by another developer. Of course there are some other differences, but very minor so don't say this, We compare the BF series and the COD series together, why not 2 games that are on the same engine and are nearly the same.

@o016945 In this engine yes you should unless you want to wait a lot longer, there are only two options this late in the development and they both are release and allow players to report bugs which would increase the speed in which they are found and removed or an open beta which would do just the same yet the developers did not want to do this and I can see why as everyone knew how the gameplay was going to be, it is ARMA 2 in a sense. This engine they are using handles far more than what the average engine does, the maps reach 80 km, you can have an extraordinary amount on the amount and are not background artistry like most games, an amazing editor with many, but easy to use scripting commands. I think you are wrong on saying I shouldn't expect it from a developer who has never used this engine. Now with Bohemia Interactive who made ARMA 2 and through trial and error about bugs in their games I will not expect it from, nor in awhile I will expect it from X1 software if they fix this game up and continue working with this engine or the next version as they should be knowledgeable then.

@_Judas_ That is known, but for a game like this they should have had the reviewer who reviewed ARMA 2 as he would have more experience, knows the game better, and could point out the flaws and what disappointed the reviewer in comparison to ARMA 2 if need be. I do not question that this is biased, but it was unnecessary to get this reviewer to review IF.

@lonkilanki Not likely, if you are a fan of ARMA 2 you will absolutely love it, and if you are referring to the bugs you should know they will be fixed. It's not like they are just going to let the game be and forget about it. The gameplay and controls are solid as long as you spend a little time getting used to them, and playing coop and messing with each weapon and how they work which only takes one hour of playing to get the hang of one factions vehicles and weapons will help you easily get the hang of this game.

@ragnar320 Understandable, I still don't think refunds should be given, maybe some kind of gift or something. The bugs should be patched though, honestly I already knew there were a ton of bugs, if you ever played ARMA 2 you should expect them in this engine, almost all get patched though.

@KingBobCat @calum1984 Get rid of Ubisoft and it will be a sure thing, though the devs probably will not get the proper funding if they did that, but I find the fault of 5 is because Ubisoft wanted a console version and they wanted it out too early, sad really.

@KingBobCat @calum1984 I never played 3, only 4 and 5, but I have heard a great deal about how great 3 is. I might check it out, 5 has become a bit tiresome.

@KingBobCat @calum1984 haha, I just bought that and was instantly disappointed, I still play it, but I thought that there would be enough mods to bring ti to what Silent Hunter 4 had it as. I will say I enjoy the simple aiming, but for only when I was new to it and needed to practice interception of task forces and convoys, among other things. I use the the manual way too though.
