"There's a lot of ppl to summon there" I was level 112 and didn't see any summon signs. Managed to take down Artorias, but not Kalameet. What I did was put down my own sign (near Kalameet) and helped others to take it down. After few tries found a guy who agreed to help me in turn. He was on NG+ and wanted the tail cut. We managed to do it in few tries. After that doing it on NG for me was easy. Chat helps a lot. Lots of players in DLC are lower lever so it might take a while to find 100+ level co-op there. If invaded while waiting to get summoned enter Kalameet area and try to solo to learn it's attacks (or Homeward out). Unfortunately can't help myself as I'm on XBL.
Obsidian Greatsword (Kalameet tail cut). Hard do get without help and does not scale, but has high base damage (320 base, 480 upgraded). *Havn't played str build myself, this was the first weapon I remembered.
