Thanks for the replies. I decided to order a 128gb Samsung SSD from newegg so I can see what all the fuss is about. $89.99 shipped seems like a solid deal for a highly-rated SSD with what should be enough capacity for windows and several of my favorite programs.

I got the 256gb version a month ago and it has been great. The biggest difference I've noticed is how quick programs load on boot up. I used to have to wait about a minute after I entered my password for everything to finish loading. Now it takes 5 seconds.

Sounds like a heat issue. When was the last time you cleaned out your pc? If it has been 3-4 months or longer and you use your pc a lot you should definitely clean it.

30 isn't old. I do prefer being around people older than myself though. I don't really fit in with my age group.

I got my first pc for my 16th birthday. Over the next couple of years I gradually upgraded it, adding more RAM, a second hard drive, and a new gpu. Some years later I decided it was time for an upgrade. I wanted to build my own so I just researched online for a couple of weeks, ordered the parts and built it.
