@bakagami @brylynt @MKrutko I would say you're exactly right. At my house in the city I have between 20-30mps whereas my parents who are just out of town get max 1mpg w/ a cap. So going all digital would hose anyone not on a fast line; anyone who chooses not to have internet and people who like to socialize when they shop.
I like purchasing games form places like Bestbuy or Gamestop. When I'm in the game section I get to talk with others about games they like or didn't and it may or may not effect my purchase; I don't get that when buying games via PSN. Digital is fine if you're games are relatively small; I can't imagine downloading Skyrim.
I don't think any of the systems will back out. Nintendo needs to continue to create consoles that are more quick fun or family friendly games so if they left, where would those people get their games and the other 2 systems (PS and Xbox) offer more adult oriented or epic games which Nintendo only sort of caters to so if you bought a Wii you can't play those games. There's 2 completely different markets so having 3 systems makes sense. Its like saying, these 2 companies sell cars and this one sells trucks; one of these companies will drop out soon.
This is the first one I see a noticeable difference. To me it looks like there is almost a fog or haze in the 360 version which isn't there in the PS3.
I think in 5 or so years SSDs will be an optional harddrive for consoles but as of now I don't see the need to get one; atleast not a large on. I have been using plug in flash drives (4gbs or 2gb) to transfer and store some save but any bigger is just too costly. As much as I would like to have one, they are double the price of normal, if not triple.
I think the pc looks the sharpest out of the 3 but thats to be expected. The 360 looks darker and maybe that goes better with a dark game and the ps3 looks brighter. Another issue is that alot of us are bias toward one system or another so even if our systems graphics look horrible we'd choose that system.
Just by reading the comments seem bias. I don't believe that either the PS3 or 360 people care which has better graphics because they want theirs to be better so much they will figure this to be leaning towards one system or the other. I like my system and like many of you have said, better graphics don't make a better system. So yes, one may have better graphics but the games are better.
