Miseracord. I play Halo, CoD4, occasionally gears, and a lot of Rock Band. (Looking for some mates for RB2!) Well, once I [finally] update my 360, cuz it won't let me update.
I can connect to my router, but I get a message to update. It fails every time I try to update... Wtf? This happened like 4 months ago. I took off/reattached everything, reset my router, deleted my cache, turned off my firewalls, and tried using an ethernet cable. Thing is, my Ps3 and Wii could connect just fine... so I just decided to give up.
So now, I turn to you, my fellow Gamespotters, in my time of need. Why can't I connect? If I'm missing anything tell me, cuz I really want to go online again.
I sometimes lag. Actually, I lag a LOT. I checked my info and found that my modem is 56k. I'm guessing this means it can stream up to 56k per second or something.(I can only go up to 60kb per second whilst d/ling)Can anyone recommend me a modem?I can go up to a $250 pricetag. Or is something else the problem?(Dlink DI-524 High speed router here) I'm really not computer-savvy, thanks in advance. xD
Yeah, I've seen people here mentioning newegg.com. My only problem is convincing my parents to get it from there... It's safe, but they're paranoid about buying things online. :P
I've been mostly a console gamer all my life; now I want to go PC gaming. I was looking for a new computer, and I saw one at Best Buy that was pretty good. 1 TB, Quad processor,all the good stuff. Then... -GASP! There's Geforce 8500 GT graphics with 256 dedicated memory. I've searched this forum, and found out that the 8500 GT was crap; it wasn't made for gaming. I still want to buy the computer, though. I'm gonna see if I can replace the card with something better. Btw, I have a budget of about... around $250. Can anyone recommend me one? Also, I have a monitor that's 1280 by 1024 pixels max. Before any of you ask, that's the biggest I can get, sinceI can't fit anything bigger into myoffice monitorspace. One more thing: I want to play Gears of War, Crysis, CoD4, and Hellgate London w/maxed gfvout except the resolutionwith it.
