@chuckles471 @beast70 @Shenstar75 No i was not in favour of rioters, of course not.
My point was just trying to show, in london few business were going to pot and chaos a
Ll over the capital - solution ban BB and facebook.
Middle east - whole revolution changing countries dynamic for years to come, people getting killed etc - all organised on Facebook - solution ban and restrict access - repsonse from west - that's bad, restricting freedom blah blah blah.
That was my point, people have one scale of justice for how these asian governments react and another for themselves.
But talking about tolerance. You need to consider CAUSE and EFFECT.
Beleive it or not, most. Of those people from those asian countries you mentioned are not irrational crazy hate filled mobs despite what is mostly shown of them on news media.
What causes OUTRAGE. I can tell you biggest outrage in paksitan tribal areas is DRONE Attacks. Let me describe some causes and their effects - When innocent children die people get upset, when people get upset they lash out - sometimes irrationally. This is. UNIVERSAL and not li ited to Asian countries you mentioned.
Bad things happen everywhere, you can't judge one school shooting
@Gen007 @Shenstar75 Last post on this topic. But what do you think if someone was legally free to do something that highly offended people and then did it - but then ended up dead be ause those offended killed him.Would you say that was successful because he was able to exercise first ammendment? Or would you say it was tragic because people didn't follow the first ammendment. My point is, even if it's you're right to do something. I doesn't make it right.
these are the laws of life, whether written or not. You offend people you usually pay a price. it's just that in the west those lines of offence are drawn further in most cases, although some things (rarely) are likely to cause more offence
@beast70 There are some well known cases in the UK where people been locked for YEARS without trial. But **** all this... Can't be asked to argue about this shit on gamespot message board.
@Gen007 @Shenstar75 No, i mean GTA 3. I can remember when it came out or at least i think i can.
And freedom of speech don't mean shit if president and 99% of country is going to toast you for something you were within your rights to produce. I.e. a highly offensive game.
This myth of 1st ammendment and freedom of speech is very powerful as a myth to make people think they are different to those asian countries.
@beast70 @Shenstar75 Teaching is subjective. In warfighter - pakistani market everyone is labeled as terrorist and free game as it were. In the mind of a young player, what effect would it have?
Not saying their all gonna want to kill. But surely deep in the sub concious mind it will influence them when they see a person with that look?
