McShea's problem is that the whole authenticity/realism thing is being used as a buzzword and marketing ploy, rather than death and war being handled in ways that are truly authentic and realistic, and I agree with him. Games like Halo are not trying to realistic and can be more arcadey, but don't bill yourself as realistic and then not show these real issues correctly.

Sounds like a lot of people not too happy they can't play this game how they would like. I think the people who made this game new that only high-end PCs would be able play this game, it didn't happen overnight by accident, and credit to Crytek. They knew that Crysis would certainly be for a niche market, not any casual gamer. It would have been easy to churn out another forgettable FPS that gets a decent score of about 8 from Gamespot, and is bought by a few people, but is still way outsold by FPS's like COD4 and UT3. Would Crysis really have got Game of the Year for PC and a 9.5 if the graphics had been average, and for a mid-end PC? If you can't play it, fine, don't hate, but Crytek knew that Crysis would be a huge deal in the gaming community if they made it like they did; everyone has Crysis as a benchmark, if you can play Crysis on High quality and still have a nice high, smooth Frame rate, you've got a great gaming machine.
