Interesting post, but I'd like to point some few things out. First off, if they won't impliment a system for us users to kill someones tracking of us as individuals, what makes you think they'll do even a fraction of what you are proposing? In regards to your "shadow of gamespot" comment, well....... this is their site and If you are that unhappy, start your own site. I'm not saying that I disagree with you, but I've learned that the mods here don't give a flying rat turd about us users. They are more interested in supporting and encouraging the little "1337" scumbags that bother the more intelligent and serious users rather than actually making this a more welcoming place to hang out. In addition, if they can't even get the forums to work properly, I have grave doubts that the admin could make the ideas you propose work here either.
(Btw the way for those folks who think "1337" means "elite"... check out www.dictionary.com and LEARN TO SPELL!)
I do have one bone to pick with you though. What business is it of yours who can start a union and at what level they are permitted to do so ? What's said is said and you cannot unring a bell, but your elitist attitude regarding this subject was both distressing and disappointing. So what if users have to sift through hundreds of crap unions to find the quality unions ? it just makes the search and eventual discovery all the more satisfying.
In closing let me say that I'd be tickled to see some of what you propose come to pass (some of this should also be implimented for the individual user pages as well) and I wish you good luck in your endeavor, but don't get your hopes up too high about the mods and site admin actually listening to you.
