@Megamandrew Given the quality of the past few FF titles, I don't really want a remake (at this time) and neither do they. If you're not confident enough as a company that you can pull off remaking one of the most renown and succesful FF titles, you're better off not doing it. They know it will probably not live up to the hype it will create and that it will merely end up disappointing fans, now imagine what that will do with future trust/sales of said company.

@Philly1UPer I don't see how that has anything to do with the subject at hand though.

@vali887 If they aren't able to succesfully make a FF game with similar quality as FF7 with their current team, then chances are the FF7 remake will turn out to be crap, which will destroy the series since it's based on the most succesfull FF game in history. You don't want the remake to be bad.
