Ninja Gaiden was hard to the point of not being fun, at least for me. Devil May Cry is manageable, it's difficulty wasn't offputting and it was often very fun. I didn't have much trouble with RE4 except for one boss, it was the guy in the triangle hat in his final form I believe. You battle him on two levels and he is massive. That one took several tries for me, otherwise I handled the game with minimal problems.

Even if we aren't including current gen and PCs, (which have the best RPGs by far) I would still disagree and point to the PS2 as the best "legacy platform" for RPGs. It offered great product throughout it's entire lifespan, giving us two of it's best with Persona 3 and 4 at the end of it's life cycle.

Ok, I think I will just rent Bioshock 2 and buy GTA 4 Complete Edition. Sound good?Vanillamarble
You could finish Bioshock 2 with a rental if you play it hard so I think you're on to something.

My sister's and I had a lot of fun with that game. It gave kids a lot of neat toys back before computers were commonplace. In the last couple of years I've discovered that people have done some really cool stuff with the composer making fun little versions of songs like Thriller and Final Countdown, even medleys of videogame music through the years.

I recommend you drum up some interest in God of War. Barring that Little Big Planet 2 is an excellent choice, the user created content reaches heights of brilliance.

I really don't feel like collecting all the feathers in Assassin's Creed 2, that's all that's keeping me from Platinum.

These games are so great but so different. I would recommend GTA4 complete, it's a few dollars more than the standard package but will keep you playing for weeks.

The entire Ratchet and Clank series has great villains. The best one is the Thugs-4-Less Commander. Besides having great villains the games have great heroes, gameplay, and humor. You need to add them to your collection.

PS2 on the left Gamecube on the right, they don't look like they'd be much fun to play with. I suppose just fan service for collectors.

Wait so... You like FF1 because it was the first rpg you played pretty much but you hate part of PS2 because the characters had no value by the end of the game? But isn't that the same for FF1 for the majority of the game? I am assuming you're referring to FF6 when you talk about FF3. So in that case I am assuming you mean IV when you talk about FF2. Taking in the fact you barely played many other rpgs around that time as you said, I see you have a good opinion here given the circumstances.Another48hours
Well before FF I had only played Dragon Warrior, I may have dabbled with DW2 but I think that came after, (not necessarily chronologically, but for me personally) I'm not going to count Zelda or Zelda-like games. I'm only referencing the JRPG sub-genre.

I don't draw the same line between FF and PS2 that you are because of all the parties I set up none felt mandatory or as though I didn't have options. With PS2 it was basically stick to the party I mentioned once you were about 3/4 through the game or drag dead weight who's contribution to combatis negligible.

Yeah I'm referring to 4 and 6. I call them by theirold localized numeration to get a rise out of folks.
