I know what Sony should do. They should find their fanboys like "aznkid254" and "7thRonin" and ban them from owning their consoles. Honestly, if you read their posts on this thread you could actually hold them being responsible for many people getting their back-up and defending 360/hating on ps3. Advice to $ony: drop the price by removing unnecessary hardware and giving the consumer a choice (like M$ did with HD DVD), give the EU the same BC as the US and Asia (this is BS BTW) and finally and probably most importantly for a GAME console: develop some games for Gods sake, you dont have a single game either released or planned that is in any way appealing
Well, well, well. we have quite a range here. People bashing GS for publishing an article (bastard journalists. who do they think they are?) People bashing each other for having a preferred console (of all the nerve!) . People bashing the manufacturers of said consoles for whatever reasons. And then you have the likes of 7thRonin who, despite their best efforts, are complete fanboys who blindly refuse to accept any form of criticism against their console of choice. I'm a proud 360 owner who will not attempt to defend any of the console's faults. I have one. I'm a victim of these faults. I'm annoyed too. But to pick fault with every little detail solely to "get back" at GS or have a dig at those who feel differently from you is rediculous. GS published an article which they thought purveyed the "truth" behind the poor showing the P$3 has had so far (while probably trying to justify the purchase to the european audience who, me being one of them, feels completely abandoned by Fony who aren't delivering the console they promised last summer). There are so many things in this forum i would like to respond to. i'd give an example but then i'd be compelled to respond and i fear falling into the fanboy trap. I don't hate Fony but, suffice to say, it'll be a good few years before I consider buying a p$3.
Boycott Sony. It's time they paid the price for screwing the European markets time and time again and it's the only way they'll learn. Why we would have to pay 40% more than our American counterparts for an identical console is beyond me, even with import tax, VAT etc. But if the console is going to be inferior why should we bother at all? The exclusively licensed games aren't going to be worth it alone so screw Sony. You've lost my sale, I call on other Europeans to do the same. SMIDSY85- i'd like to know how you do your reckoning. You're obviously American, up Sony's arse and (as a result of the previous 2 observations) braindead. MS only selling 50k more consoles than Sony in Jan isn't testament to Sony's popularity, it's because most people who give a damn about gaming already have a 360 so it's not surprising sales slow down, yet it still beats the shiny new PS3. How does this also mean it will sell more in Europe? It wont if Sony keep screwing it's customers over the service and price, and keep lying about all the great things the PS3 can do and then change their mind because they're losing money hand over fist and the only way to keep their pockets lined is to do away with the expensive technology and replace it with inferior crap. Like one of the editors said, "we wouldn't be surprise if the core processor was replaced with string and biscuits". UP YOURS SONY!
