@PadyEos I have actually been thinking about buying that as well, amongst quite a few others. SimCity was on my list, and still sort of is, but I would like a proper SimCity game, not this social experiment thing they got.
If they change it or something, I might still get it, but I don't know. City building games used to be quite easy to pick, SimCity :)
How is 4 compared to earlier ones by the way? Better?
@punkpunker You got second part wrong, it is not hard at all. It's already been done by a modder or so. They just didn't want to give people the choice.
And yeah, it is quite easy to forget that to be honest, MMORPGs have that background with server issues, maintenance etc. but that's where the problem comes from, SP game with MP flaws/issues.
@oghre78 I don't think online-always is necessarily the problem here. The problem is the fact that its forced upon you, on games that don't really need it.
And also the fact that it causes so many bloody problems.
And, SimCity for example, has already been proven to have an offline-mode, they just didn't want players to have it, yet anyway. Maybe they wanted to sell it as DLC as some have said?
@oghre78 Don't you know, "they", "those people", "the others/other players/customers".
You know, the unidentified group of people, who always, according to game companies, are in awe of the game and praise the features and whatnot, even though overwhelming evidence, usually online these days, says completely otherwise.
@hystavito Been there, done that. So many times actually that I've lost count. All the way from setting up VCRs, if people even know anymore what they are :D , to digital TVs, computers, gaming consoles etc.
Basic stuff more or less usually, in my opinion, but I've had to do it, because it is too technical or something :)
