I enjoy the pistol from Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 3: ODST. I know it's not very realistic, but popping grunts and jackals with headshots is just too much fun! If I'm playing a medieval game, then some form of dual wielded swords. Preferably dual long swords. However, there is not a game that I know of that let's you do that and control your character, so I guess I'll have to say a nice, long and powerful two-handed sword. Although not quite as original as some of the other weapons in Fallout 3, I enjoyed the awesome fire sword (I think it was called the shiskebob) the most. Nothing like setting your opponents on fire!!! Light sabers are also must haves...
