Judging from your username color, you must pay monthly for whatever premium service you have...so I definitely understand your frustration. If I were you, I would cancel my premium account...there are much better places both online and in print to receive your gaming news.

GI is a pretty good magazine, I would suggest you get a subscription. Online, gamerankings.com is a pretty useful place to go because it shows a cumulative look at how games are being rated.

Panzer-schreck

I completely agree with you. GI is the best gaming publications out there.

[QUOTE="Ryowolf"]Who cares is an easy thing to say when you have no scope of things.Untitled182

"**** off" is an easy thing to say too. But im not saying it cuz i love seeing you try to sound smart and change everyone's outlook.

Look, why don't you take you'r own advice and just not care. Please leave the forum if you are going to cause a disturbance. I do not want a nuclear flame war in here.

[QUOTE="Ryowolf"]Actually, I've realized this for quite a while now. It's just whenever I bothered posting anything about it I would get the duct tape or flamethrower treatment. I figured now was another good time to voice my opinions because people are finally starting to open there eyes.Untitled182

You make it seem like the world itself is changing. Calmage. There'll be new games, there'll be new people.

I refuse to be a sheep. I see what's going on here plain as day and people should know. The official word by gamespot on Jeff's termination was a joke... They staged a fake interview where they answered their own questions. I feel sorry for anyone who believes that.

[QUOTE="FragStains"]Why do you care so much? Seriously, think of this in the grand scheme of things.PherdnutChiken

Well in the grand scheme of things, it's one more suit at one more corporation who thinks he can spit on integrity without consequences.

It's sales "manipulation" being put ahead of building relationships with customers.

It's yet another example of gaming journalists being spat on not just by the publishers of the games but their own employers.

It's another nail in the coffin of the fourth estate, which is the only failsafe we have when our nifty system of checks and balances falls to pieces.

It's basically about everything that's slowly getting twisted into garbage by the unimaginative and the slow-witted (you know, sales/marketing types) preferring to have the world on their terms rather than having to come up with new ideas or think critically (i.e. just because there's a lot more "casual gamers" doesn't mean they're going to do more for your website when you water it down).

Oh and it's also really bad business and a lousy way to fire somebody who's been a big name to the industry at large, not just Gamespot.

Thank you! You took the words right out of my mouth. I refuse to be lied and manipulated by a company I onced loved. The reason I care and the reason I post this is because I love videogames and I used to love gamespot.

1) 1035 posts and you expect us to care about what you think?

2) You think Carrie was a big deal? :| She wasn't even at GS long enough for me or a lot of people to even care when she left.

Usually I don't post because I don't like running into snobs such as your self. As if post count has to do with anything...

Wow you just posted something I never noticed, 3 times. You are a true revolutionist. Please keep posting it until you die. You will go down in the history books as a one of the most inspirational persons ever :|shaza91

Six to be exact buddy. Every single one locked. And I'm not about to succumb to censorship. If you want me to stop posting this then stop locking it!

This website is in a rapid state of decline now that Greg, Rich, Bob, Carrie and Jeff have left. I mean, their reviews are of poor quality, the rating system has been beyond brutalized, burning questions is no longer, the quality of the hotspot has diminished, and the moderators have free reign over censorship. What's next? I've used this site as my main source of gaming news for quite some years now, and I can say that it has definitely seen better days. I miss when this site used to feel very personal as if you knew each and every staff member firsthand

It seems as though this site is moving more and more towards a corporate agenda as they continue to cater to the mainstream. In case you don't know why the beloved Jeff Gerstmann is gone rumor has it his termination is a result of external pressure from Eidos after he gave Kane & Lynch a mediocre score despite Eidos heavily advertising on Gamespot at the time. The inside scoop right here as written by an employee

Wouldn't be surprised a bit if Gamespot execs are just as easy to buy off as politicians. I am curious as to what you the public thinks about this whole mess and you're opinion on Gamespot in this day and age. Do I stand alone in this thought, or are there others that feel the way I do?

Please realize this is merely my opinion and I do not want to start a flame war. You can get through to me by calmly expressing you're opinions! I will be going through each and every post to see what the community thinks.

[UPDATE] Stop deleting this post, moderators. I am not breaking the ToS, I already ready the entire thing. You have no right to censor me on this subject. Whenever I try and speak my mind on gamespot, I get some form of it. You just show me how pathetic this website is when I get censored for calmly stating my opinion and asking for the opinions of others.

[UPDATE2] So if you can't stop deleting my post you will suspend me? Oh, and please take more of my points too. Like I care about you're stupid levels anymore. They are just used to threaten and opress people and form some broken social hierarchy. I've done nothing wrong here and I'm not going to stop posting this until you let me have a voice. This site reeks of a crooked corporation. If you can't let me have my tiny opinion because you are afraid it will influence other people you might as well ban me because I wan't no part in this corruption.
