[QUOTE="FragStains"]Why do you care so much? Seriously, think of this in the grand scheme of things.PherdnutChiken
Well in the grand scheme of things, it's one more suit at one more corporation who thinks he can spit on integrity without consequences.
It's sales "manipulation" being put ahead of building relationships with customers.
It's yet another example of gaming journalists being spat on not just by the publishers of the games but their own employers.
It's another nail in the coffin of the fourth estate, which is the only failsafe we have when our nifty system of checks and balances falls to pieces.
It's basically about everything that's slowly getting twisted into garbage by the unimaginative and the slow-witted (you know, sales/marketing types) preferring to have the world on their terms rather than having to come up with new ideas or think critically (i.e. just because there's a lot more "casual gamers" doesn't mean they're going to do more for your website when you water it down).
Oh and it's also really bad business and a lousy way to fire somebody who's been a big name to the industry at large, not just Gamespot.
Thank you! You took the words right out of my mouth. I refuse to be lied and manipulated by a company I onced loved. The reason I care and the reason I post this is because I love videogames and I used to love gamespot.
