@Xenrathe @Sohereiam Yet the very nature of being a Marine requires you to kill -- which is, in itself, an act of violence, running counter to the notion of "peace" and "protection". Doesn't your brother know -- "Every Marine is a rifleman first?" I was taught much the same thing -- it's a hypocrisy that's embraced unabashedly by nearly everyone in the armed forces, including myself, having spent some time with the Army.

I doubt the a global corporatization movement will render war obsolete -- if anything, it'll merely shift the battlefield to a different plane. Going from an individual soldier to a top-down cyber battlefield makes no difference in regards to violence -- as violence, is, by definition, any unjust or unwarranted display or exertion of power.Perhaps I'm being overly cynical and catastrophizing outcomes. But I've seen the worst people can do in the worst places. I have a hard time believing that people can put aside their differences that so fundamentally make them who they are and simply "get along". It goes against everything that both history and psychology teach.Sure, we'd be better off with peace -- but that seems highly improbable.

@Xenrathe @Sohereiam Well, you're hardly an authority yourself -- and what Rand states is not false by any stretch. All you have to do is look at headlines or ask any soldier where his or her allegiance lies; I'll give you a hint: it isn't to humanity, but to a flag.

@Sohereiam @Xenrathe ‎"If men want to oppose war, it is statism that they must oppose. So long as they hold the tribal notion that the individual is sacrificial fodder for the collective, that some men have the right to rule others by force, and that some (any) alleged “good” can justify it—there can be no peace within a nation and no peace among nations." | Ayn Rand Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal. World Peace will NEVER exist.

@Lord_Uhtred @RedLegZeff @NaturalDisplay Having an Assassin's Creed franchise game in any "modern" combat scenario would be an utter failure in my honest opinion. The game would be too reminiscent of Splinter Cell: Conviction, mostly focused on contrived shooting mechanics.

@sknight175216 'Shite' being the British/Irish pronunciation and spelling of the word. Considering the game takes place in London, I say it fits right in. It's no typo.

@buccomatic Hah. If you read my original comment, I wasn't defending them. I merely told you to quit wasting your time. Those who want the DLC will obviously buy it. Those who don't, won't. It makes no difference if it's a "ripoff" or not. It's a simple case of supply and demand. You do know how to read, right? I suggest you re-read my posts. If you can point out EXACTLY where I was defending them, I'll give you a cookie. If not, quit your bitching.

@buccomatic Ah yes, the pot calling the kettle black. Also, your ad hominem attacks make you sound like a dumbass. Just a thought if you ever want to make a salient point.

@buccomatic considering you've been bitching up and down this thread, I think I have every right to say something.

@buccomatic you have way too much time on your hands. If you don't like it, stop watching and commenting.

A game is about the experience -- not the graphics. You want photo-realism? Go step outside.
