Yes, definitely. I hope you've pre ordered for the Nuketown Zombies map though! The other maps aren't so great.

[QUOTE="Diminisher"]Exactly how does this ruin the game? Trollol56
sitrep ruined mw3 havent you played it yet?

Sitrep absolutely demolished all fun found in MW3 and was enough to strip the game of all its merits? Sitrep rendered aiming and shooting obsolete because all users of the perk could kill every one of their opponents? Everybody in MW3 used sitrep because it was more effective than everything else in the game? Here's the short answer: No. Here's the long answer: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Few people used sitrep, and they certainly did not win 100 percent of their games with 0 deaths.

From the start, there's 3 maps to choose from, one takes place in a farm, another in a city, and the last at a bus terminal. Every map has the M14 + Olympia as the starting wall weapons.

Regarding the farm map, I personally think it's far too small (Think about 3 quarters the size of the map Rust from MW2.) To make things even more annoying, the entire map is filled with a thick dark red fog that makes it horrendously difficult to see even halfway across the map. It's looks like they're trying to mask poor draw distance, which shouldn't even be an issue. The fog is just an annoyance. On the plus side, all perk machines and the mystery box is available on this map. (Pack a Punch isn't.)

The map that takes place in the city is more of a road intersection with accessible two storey buildings on every corner, each containing the different perk machines. The centre of the intersection is where the Pack a Punch machine is located, in the middle of lava, meaning you'll have to set yourself on fire every time you need to use the machine. The bad news being that the red fog is back, so you will likely get lost in it and die due to the bloody smoke. You will also be surprised at how often you get blocked by obstacles on the road.

The bus terminal map starts you off inside the terminal, but the front door can be opened for 750 credits and you can run around outside with the mystery box nearby. This flat road outside is the largest open area available in all of the maps. But then again, the fog is back, and zombies spawn out of the floor this time, so give up on finding a good place to hunker down and defend. Perk machines are made unavailable in this map, and there ain't nutn you can do about it. There isn't Pack a Punch either.

All of this would be a little bit more forgivable if not for the WORST OFFENSE OF ALL:

Every map has long cracks in the ground spread all over the map, with lava in between them. Remember in World at War when some moron would spray everything with the flamethrower and you happened to walk over the area he lit up? Yes, that. The screen sizzles red, you stop sprinting, and you can't see very well because it also blurs your vision. Add in the red fog.

It gets even worse. When the zombes walk over the fissures in the ground, they are set on fire. A good number of the zombies you fight will be on fire, not like they can knock you down faster than regular zombies (2 hits and you're done from either type), but they freaking EXPLODE when you kill them now. If one explodes near you, one of two things can happen. First, you just die, or second, it's like you go into shellshock. You can still move, but at a humiliatingly slow speed, the screen is blurriest its ever been, and all you can do is wait. But the zombies don't. Even at a low level, if a lit zombie explodes near you, you're probably dead.

So treyarch, who's name I won't even bother capitalizing, decided to NOT include the best map on the disk. That map would be Nuketown 2025. If you've played Nuketown in Black Ops 1, you'll know how great that map is. Best of all, there are NO cracks on the ground, and the red fog is gone. You can actually see the whole freakin map this time. The mystery box, perk machines and Pack a Punch are all present. But this map isn't included on the disk. It's only for pre orders and as possible DLC later. Without this zombie map, you will be left severely disappointed with the other 3 alone.

If you're on the fence about this game and want to play zombies, please pre order this game now so you will have the Nuketown 2025 zombie map. The other maps are horrible.
