@shadowwarrior4: His sister was there, she just wasn't heavily shown. But there's a little girl you see with him, say, watching TV in the living room where he lived.
@normanislost: True. I can't imagine Deadpool now without Ryan Reynolds. Plus, any movies flying under the Disney/Marvel banner would definitely give them plenty of new comedy material.
@wicked_laugh: Given that the final fight in the first Deadpool takes place on a crashed helicarrier, and the fact he references BOTH actors who played Xavier, I wouldn't think too hard about continuity.
Also, the most likely thing to happen with the Marvel X-Men movies is a completely fresh reboot. Just to remove all the baggage of the other movies and their continuity.
I enjoyed the first one, though I think it's a little overrated. Still, I'm excited enough that I'll eventually see this in theaters. Probably on Tuesday's cheap nights.
I grew up on the original trilogy. I'm old enough to saw I saw Return of the Jedi when it first released in theaters. And while I've never been a massive fan like some of my friends (I'm more of a Trek guy), I've re-watched both the original trilogy and even the prequels multiple times. And I enjoyed Force Awakes, Rogue One, and Last Jedi. I've never been interested in the spin-off comics or extended universe in the novels.
Between this and the annual movies? It's becoming over-saturation.
