Sony to remove Maps, Youtube and Near from the Vita

Not a big deal for anyone with a smartphone, but it's not a good sign in terms of Sony's future intentions regarding the platform.

I bought the vita at launch, had some good times with it but the memory card prices are just too insane. Favorites games on it were P4G, Dragon's Crown, Muramasa and Ys: Memories of Celceta. The ability to play PS1 and PSP games are great but you have to get a large memory card for that.

I wouldn't recommend it to everyone though, only hardcore gamers that don't mind getting shafted by those memory cards.

New screen has noticeable horizontal lines, just like the PSP-3000. OLED in comparison is smoother, colors are more saturated. I don't know why you would say that black is better on the LCD, a technology known for its inability to display true black compared to OLED.

The Chinese have no problem with Japanese products, in fact they would often prefer foreign products for quality/status.

However, I highly doubt that people there would buy consoles due to the domination of PC gaming. Those who do won't buy software either due to heavy piracy,

pd has come so far as a dev that the 20 digit friends lists codes from gt5  have been reduced to 12 digits!

go poly!

Riverwolf007
What are you talking about? GT5 doesn't have friend codes. I know you have xenophobic sentiments concerning j-devs but at least don't make shit up.

You guys arent focusing on the actual issue here. Anyone can clearly see how drastic the change in AI behavior is between the E3 demo and release. This is another case of release material being dumbed down from what is shown in advertising just like Aliens: CM and countless other games.

Indeed, and gamers tolerate this crap too. Don't believe the hype people.

So, he basically said that if you know what you are doing, the XB1 architecture is actaully faster, but you have to take that learning curve into account. Whereas in the PS4's architecture, it is easier to fully utilize the hardware of the platform from the get go.

A lot of cows are going to be upset about that.

Sounds like the Cell. Seems like Sony learned their lesson.

How you got to this conclusion completely baffles me.

He means it's basically the reverse of this (7th) gen, where PS3 had theoretical advantage in power that was much harder to tap into while the 360 had the developer friendly approach with some parts being better than the PS3. I don't think it's quite right but I can see why people would think like that.

I'm not quite sure why, but today I feel really good about VITA's value for money. :-)

I have a Vita, best part about it is being able to play my PSP games, PS1 games, LBP vita and watch youtube/netflix all on one device.

However, PS4 needs that one killer app for me to get it. There's a bunch of cool games but nothing I would live without yet.

PS3 is hooked to the monitor. So maybe I'll get a PS4 eventually to play blu-ray on my TV.

Maybe it's because I'm more of a casual console player, but the PS4 has way more games than I'd imagine. But, what type of game are you looking tp play on PS4 anyways?

Demon's Souls 2 or a good Tales game. Just something that I can't get on PC that's really unique. As of now, Infamous SS isn't worth 400$ for me.

Where's PC and Wii U?

It's a solid combo.
