I am just speculating here(so don't hold me to this)but my guess is if they have to add these manually it could take some time for everybody to get them with the amount of users GS has.

You're a little confused, what you stated occurs for users not for unions.

But unions being at level 1 can't upload videos.. What should these unions do?Driv5r

Users have to upload videos for unions individually.

You can do that by going to your videos section at your profile, click on ''upload a video'', then at the next screen at the bar ''association'' you use the menu and choose ''Gamespot unions'' and then you select a union from the list that appears you want to upload the video for.

Then the normal video uploading procedure must be followed and it's done.

This has been for a long time now.

I remember a moderator saying that this is to prevent abuse of the level system.

levels would go up by user activity in a union and by posts, users would simply just spam the whole place to get level ups for their union. And to prevent this they took away the possibility for unions to level up.

That's what I heard a mod saying.
