First FPS I ever played was TFC, and had tons of fun playing it when I was younger... it's not like we've been waiting for it's sequel for 7+ years... but we have. :) It finally came... and though I'm not sure if I like it better than its original yet (I miss grenades), it definately is a bunch o fun.

Basically you should never expect to play 'today's games' on a laptop. Unless you're ready to blow the extra 3 grand on an true gaming laptop, you really can only play games ~2 years old very well. You can deffinately play some of the great older games (>2 years) though with specs like that.

Free? Wow... not leaving a lot of room for creative titles here.

If you're looking for a demented racing game, I'd reccomend the original Carmageddon or Carmageddon II. Old old games, but really fun in their own respect. Racing game where the goal is to distroy the competition, run over pedestrians, or just finish the race.

Although Sim City is one of my favorite series, turn based strategy games are fun in a similar kind of way (no twitch, you can sort of go at your own speed, build an empire), may think about trying Civlization IV if you have some free time.

[QUOTE="Yaeven"]

An online store is indeed your best bet.

You can still eat me just for kicks though,I don't mind.

LOL!....and ya...online stores are the best way to find games that are discontinued

DX10 is for games with super-high graphics requirements... there are some games like that... but a high profile release like SC2 will most likely be a lowest-common-denominator release. Starcraft didn't have very stiff requirements when it was first released. Neither did Diablo, Warcraft 1/2/3, or even WOW for that matter. It wouldn't make sense for them to make some rediculous requirements.
