Well sometimes it just happens out of the blue, but alot of times it's simply because people treat their consoles like crap knowingly or not. You'll see it sitting in a small cramped space with no air flow, sitting flat on a fluffy carpet that blocks the air holes on it's hottest side, people using the cooling fan the goes off the 360's power supply and not it's own....and one of the silliest: putting it flat on top of an already hot TV cable box in a cramped space.

ShadowsRunner

basically you gotta keep your xbox 360 temperature as low as possible

...avoiding the use of accesory fans or cooling systems. Mine is on my desk, besides my room's window.

How high should I upgrade my internet connection speed to avoid having lagging issues(specially COD4) on Xbox Live? Right now my connection is: Download 2mb/sec & upload 256kb/sec.

Thanks guys. One thing I'm taking into consideration now for choosing my games is that the single player campaign isn't very long. I'm choosing games with single player campaigns that take about 10-12h to complete, and making sure they got really good online multiplayer experience and lots of people logged-in playing it. So at this time, I think COD5 is fullfilling my needs better than Far Cry 2. Even though I'm still a bit attracted to Far Cry 2's big maps. I'll wait for the release of Far Cry 2, read some reviews and the decide if I should order it or preorder COD5.

I intend to preorder my holiday gaming this weekend, I'm going for a couple of Shooters and a nonshooter game. Well obviously GeOW2 is already on the top of my list, and probably GH World Tour. The third game is my problem, cuz I've seen both multiplayers on Far Cry 2 and Call of Duty WW and both are awesome. Far Cry 2 multiplayer seems like really big and open maps, with lots of people in them. On the other side, COD5 seems like it has smaller maps, but this seems to make battles a lot more intense. Will COD5 deliver as well as COD4 did? Did Ubisoft focused themselves more on the single player campaign and the multiplayer is just an add-on? Which game do you think will attract more people to the online battles?

This may sound stupid at this point, and can almost picture the answer, but will this be a downloadable expansion that will require u to have purchased the original Halo 3, or u have to buy as a totally new game on separate DVD disc(second option is my take on this)

I use to hate the idea of the whole COD5 being developed by Treyarch and being back at WWII thing. Let me tell you, I'm a huge COD4 fan... more like an addict. But today I saw some multiplayer gaming at www.gametrailers.com and got very impressed from what I saw of COD5. I might not even get anywhere close to the single player campaign, but I'm gona be in, for the multiplayer battles since day one. I think I just found the second of my 3 musketeers(first of course GeOW2) for this Holidays. Now the third is between Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Guitar Hero WT or a sports game. PS: I already got the red controller...haha!!! I RECOMMEND U GUYS TAKE A LOOK A THESE MULTIPLAYER VIDEOS AT GAMETRAILERS.COM, I THINK YOU'LL GET IMPRESSED AS WELL. AT LEAST YOU'LL SEE THAT THE BATTLES ARE GONA BE AS INTENSE AS THE ONES IN COD4.

Though the trailer doesn't reveal much, and looks a bit silly... The game looks much different then Halo 3.

You can reconize the brutes, but they look much more menacing.

The new hero (In my oppinion), already looks much more awesome then Master Chief, and I think his weapon had a sound supressor.

Because of the style alone, I'm almost sold. I just need to see some gameplay now :)

And I'm keeping my fingers crossed (crossing them so hard I'm afraid they might break), so that this game can be released in a disc and not DLC. :)

Side note: Not a halo fanboy, I just like the game series.

Not only the sound suppressor on the gun, but I just read at Teamxbox.com that the armor has an invicibility mode... I just hope it's really squad base, with a good covering system and destroyable enviroments. I hope the graphic's are less cartoony than the original Halo 3's; cuz my guess is, this game is aimed for hardcore gamers not a Wii gamers.

Why don't you send it back to Microsoft for repairs, or maybe they give a working console. That's the idea of a 3year warranty for the RROD.

Dead space has nothing to do in the same sentence aas GeOW2. Gears is totally on a higher level.

When u start the game, u might say "why was everybody so hyped about this game!?" but u play through a couple hours, and u will find yourself in a totally addictive story, building lightsabers, using the force like never before... Well its just nice to blow everyone away with the power. U can say that the new SW whatever apprentice can give u all this, but no quite true; u use the power in a open enviroment, so it's a lot better. From past gen, Halo, GTA SA, NG and both KOTORs were the top games.
