@Zombrex: OK just to run through a few of the reasons that its glaringly obvious that you're misinformed:

- Motherboards and video cards cost less than consoles(even if it seems like alien technology to you). Do you think that PC hardware doesn't have warranties? Spoiler alert... they do. You can make the assertion that its more difficult or expensive but it sounds like that's just an assumption you made out of ignorance.

- How often do you think you need to upgrade hardware? You can play games on a 10 year old GPU but they're gonna look even worse than they do on console.

- How hard do you think it is to update drivers? You need Sony to hold your hand for you so you don't have to click "update"?

- Extra hardware or software for recording or chat? Now you're comparing 3rd party options to stock Sony features. But do you actually believe that they would be equivalent in quality? PC can record with only software as well but once again you conflate things that aren't the same.

- What are these loads of other extras you refer to? What can be worth paying hundreds over the years in subscription costs? You're barred from online unless you pay THAT is how they milk you.

- What is safe online play? Are you implying PC is somehow not safe for online play?

You seem to have no idea what your comparing yet seem to be sure of what you're saying. Its like you people don't understand that quality varies and you get what you pay for. What you're paying for is convenience and the lowest common denominator of everything.

@joejoe1639: What are you basing this on? Doesn't almost every game release on PC? Don't you think if it were more of an issue, there would be more than a handful of AAA exclusives between Xbone and PS4? There are less than ever before. My PS4 collects dust because its just a crippled PC that forces you to waste money on overpriced games. Everything loads incredibly slowly on its laptop hardware, even the internet is slow because of slow servers and crappy WiFi connectivity. I like it though. It has some nice features and The Last of Us Remastered was fun. But in 2015 this discussion is completely over. The fact that so many people still resent that consoles are no longer superior is absolutely amazing to me.

@akassassin11: lol resolution junky? I'm not sure that PC gaming is quite what you remember. If you worked with PC hardware it would be an absolute breeze to own a functioning gaming PC. The only people who see PCs as a hassle are those with very little experience. The comment about working with computers all day makes no sense either. Its not like ice cream, you don't get tired of it. Work is work. Games are games. If you didn't want to look at screens wouldn't consoles be included in that?

@Beardof_Zeus456: At some point, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, someone's opinion can become meaningless or even harmful. Also, this isn't your buddy Steve's opinion. This is a published review by a major gaming website. Many people can write coherently, but to cast such a bias opinion and to have seemingly no real interest in the art form she is reviewing, is nothing short of insulting. You should have the common social sense to not to be publicly critical of things that you don't understand.

Great point, however the analogy falls apart because although your video was rushed, it retained it's substance with less flash. Rushed games do the exact opposite.

@cioffid It's much easier to aim because of the improved frame rate. Auto aim is no longer needed whether you choose to use a controller or not. Greatly improved single player load times. Certain delays, like the loading from switching characters, are nearly non existent.

Also, gameplay-affecting graphical features that were limited by the consoles like higher NPC density and greater draw distance.

But I can't stress enough that for people whom expect games to be smooth and responsive, every console version was a disaster. The increased frame rate is the only necessary improvement to make this the game that it should have been from the beginning.

Maybe I started gaming too late, but I just can't fathom the appeal of a grid based game like this. Someone enlighten me.

@Navardo95 @RSM-HQ That's true but there is also the fact that, at one point, games were making astounding leaps technically and creatively. People are disgusted by the idea of that falling by the wayside for the sake of mass appeal. Danny O'Dwyer did a good video on this.
