500 Euros is about twice as much as any of the consoles now and you have to update it more frequently. Beyond that a $100 dollar computer can go online, do word processing, make videos and what not. $500 is not a little more, thats a lot more. Lastly, if you like any sports games, FF type RPGs, 3rd person shooters, or any other type of games that are primarily made for consoles your screwed if you get a PC, even when they make it over there they aren't as good. PCs are great for FPS, adventure type RPGs (ala Elder Scrolls), or RTS games PC is infinately better (though maybe less so with adventure type RPGs as both Oblivian and Fallout 3 were great on consoles, even if they are a bit more expensive and the graphics were a bit worse). In short both have there specialities and aren't that good with the others specialties. P.S. Regarding costs of console games, I find if you don't need the latest game right when it comes out this can frequently be offset by buying games preowned. Course if your the OCD type that needs the game right when it comes out whatever.

Who really cares that PC is better then 360. I have a computer that is able to play all new games, but not so well, it only cost maybe $600 at the time, and I plan on going another 2 or so years (already went 1 1/2) before I make any major changes, maybe a mid range graphics card before then. So therefore, for me, 360 is good enough, PS3 would be too but I don't have one
