Isn't it still cheaper to buy 40GB PS3, new HDD and new PS2 than 60GB PS3 playing PS2 games?
In my country it is. So I bought 40BG PS3 for 700$ (yeah, the price is a killer in most European countries), new 250 GIG HDD for 95. New PS2 costs 200$.
So, to sum up:
PS3 40GB + 250HDD + PS2 = 1000$.
New 60GB PS3 costs 1200$.
I am left with one spare 40GB 5400 rpm 2,5'' SATA HDD (I'll get an USB case for it for 20$) and 200$ in my pocket. Plus I have 100% compatibility with PS2 games and no problems connecting it to SDTV. Unless I'd have if I bought PS2, but what's the point? Maybe If I got one for 100$, then maybe...
* All prices are for Poland in relation 1USD = 2PLN (more/less what we have today).
